This private tour takes you far back in the history. Visit Neolithic Grapčeva Cave, the most significant prehistoric site in the Adriatic. Besides the cave you will also visit a small abandoned shepherd's village of Humac, where we will have lunch in traditional tavern.
Grapceva cave is the cradle of Hvar's culture and civilization. The cave is one of the prehistoric findings dating back to the New Stone Age (Neolithic Period) 5000 - 4000 years BC and one of the oldest discoveries in the Adriatic and the Mediterranean. A unique example of well-preserved rural architecture, some 7 km from Jelsa, formerly a pastoral village, Humac originated in the 17th century. At the height of 350 m above sea level, you have a magnificent panoramic view of all the surrounding places, coves and Brac Island.
