Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrive in Delhi

    Arrive in Delhi, meet and greet at the airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 2 : Delhi

    Morning tour of historic city of Old Delhi to include magnificent Red Fort, The Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque, Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw Ride past through the silver street in Chandani Chowk.

    Afternoon sightseeing in New Delhi to include Humayun's Tomb, Bhai Temple, Qutab Minar, India gate and Government buildings. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 3 : Delhi - Amritsar

    Morning train to Amritsar - the city of the Golden Temple.

    Afternoon visit the famous Golden Temple which is sacred to the Sikhs, where you will find time to tune into the amazing spiritual centre and feel the power that inspire the Sikh peolple worldwide. Continue your city tour and visit Jallianwalla Bagh, a martyrs'memorial built in the shape of an eternal flame of liberty, situated on the outskirts of Golden Temple. Here about 1500-2000 persons who were attending a peaceful meeting during the freedom movement fell under the bullets of the British General Dyer on 13 April 1919. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 4 : Amritsar - Dharamshala

    Morning after breakfast depart for Dharamshala - A Hill Station full of natural charm and beauty, situated in the Kangra Valley and spread over a height at 450 m. It is surrounded by the majestic Dhauladhar Ranges on three sides. Tibetan settlements at Mecleodganj and Tibetan Library hold the treasure of manuscripts, text and its ancient culture. The Dalai Lama's Palace is next to his monastery at Dharamshala. The day is spent walking around the Kangra Valley and mixing and talking with Tibetan community. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 5 : Dharmshala

    Morning start your city tour of Dharmshala and visit the Dalai Lama's Monastery, a Tibetian Village and handicraft centre, Bhagsunag and water fall and war memorial. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 6 : Dharmshala - Manali

    Morning drive to Manali. Manali is synonymous with streams and birdsongs, forest and orchards and the grandeur of the snowcapped Himalaya. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 7 : Manali

    After breakfast lave for a city tour of Manali - visiting the Hadimba Devi Temple set within dense Pine forest and to the Naggar Castle to have a stunning view of the valley. Afternoon walk along the Beas River and local market. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 8 : Manali - Jispa

    Morning start your drive through the Rohtang Pass (3978 m) to Jispa visit the Gompa (monastery) of Khardong enroute. Overnight.

  • Day 9 : Jispa - Sarchu

    Depart for Darch, only 6 km from Jispa, a meeting point for many Trans-Himalayan trails. Proceed towards Baralacha. A steep climb to a spur o the hillside brings you face to face with the picturesquely situated Darcha-Sumdo Village, across the Bhaga river. Arrive on top of the Baralacha Pass and a spectacular awe-inspiring panorama of snow-capped peaks and ranges and blue skies emerges. There are lake and lakes and ponds where migratory Siberian birds stop on the way to and from sanctuaries in India. Overnight at camps.

  • Day 10 : Sarchu - Leh

    Drive through the rest of the Sarchu Plateau and arrive at the foot of Lachungla. Continue driving to Tanglangla, the highest pass on the journeys that commands breathtaking views of the Zanskar Range. Further, the drive towards to Leh brings to view many monasteries atop hillock and mountain sides. The Kanglachen 6020 m, soars up into the blue sky, dominating the triangular valley of Leh. Overnight.

  • Day 11 : Leh

    After breakfast, a half day trip to the 200 year old Shankar Monastery, which contains a plethora of impressive images, wall paintings and sculptures, including a huge statue of Aloketesvara-with 1000 arms & heads. Next stop is Teh Japanese built peace Pagoda (Shanti stupa).

    The winding road leading to it offer enthralling views of the surrounding countryside. Crowned with a massive dome, this stupa is reminiscent of Nalanda and Rajgir Stupas. Afternoon visit a Ladakhi Buddhist family and share a cup of butter tea, tsampa (roasted barley) and tschang (fermented barley beer) and see their way of living. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 12 : Leh

    After breakfast, leave for full day sightseeing to Alchi and spitok monasteries. The road goes via Nimmu, the meeting point of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. The confluence of these two rivers has created a beautiful scenic spot. The Gompa at Alchi is renowned for its massive Buddha statues, lavish woodcarving and houses the holy example of Kashmini-style wall paintings in the area. There are also many chortens around the village. On the way back to Leh visit Spitok Gompa, situated on a hilltop above the River Indus. The main prayer hall (Gokhang) is about 1000 years old and offer spectacular views from the rooftop. Overnight.

  • Day 13 : Leh - Delhi

    Morning flight to Delhi. On arrival transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 14 : Delhi - Abroad

    Morning transfer to airport for your onward flight.
