Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  We will have a small briefing session with breakfast and start from Chandigarh at 0800 hrs. We will move in a convoy with a lead & sweep cars. Every vehicle will have numbers and stickers so that we can identify each other. Tea Break and Lunch on the way at some good Dhaba/Restaurants. Bio breaks and photography sessions on the way. Reach resort by the evening and relax.Patnitop is a hill top tourist location in Udhampur district on the National Highway 1A, on the way from Udhampur to Srinagar. Patnitop is a distortion of the original name of "Patan Da Talab" meaning "Pond of the Princess". In olden times a pond existed in the meadows and the king’s princess often used to have her bath there. You can proceed for local sightseeing which includes Nag Temple and excursion to Nathatop and Sanasar.

• Day 2 : Patnitop - Srinagar

  From Patnitop we will leave early morning at 0700 hrs. and reach Srinagar by Lunch time. Check in the hotel, freshen up and you can just relax or explore Srinagar. In the evening Shikara ride on The Dal Lake / Nagin Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. You will get a view of some very interesting Places around the Lake. Dinner & Overnight stay at Srinagar.

• Day 3 : Srinagar - Sonmarg

  After breakfast take the half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love).After Lunch we will start driving towards Sonmarg. Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold) also called Gateway to Ladakh. Sonmarg is a beautiful drive from Srinagar. Reach Hotel by the early evening and explore this beautiful valley. Dinner with Bonfire and early night as we will be starting our journey towards LADAKH.

• Day 4 : Sonmarg - Zozila - Drass - Kargil Mulbekh

  This day we will start our day relaxed as there are fixed timings to cross Zozila pass. This challenging pass opens one way and there are set time slots to cross the pass. Our Time to start from Sonmarg is 1- 3 PM. So, we will line up by noon to cross the most thrilling Zozila pass. This pass is one of the world’s most treacherous mountain pass which is located on the Srinagar-Leh National Highway 1D in the western section of the Himalayas mountain range. After Crossing Zozila, Drass and Kargil we will have a night halt Stay at Shargol.

• Day 5 : Mulbekh - Leh

  Leave Campsite after Breakfast around 0900 hrs and start your journey towards Leh. En-route , you will also pass the Lamayuru monastery. You will climb the 18 hairpin Hangro loops to cross Fotu La, the highest point on the Leh-Srinagar highway and exit the Indus valley. Lunch on the way and visit Famous Pathar sahib Gurudwara, Magnetic hills before you enter Leh City. Reach Hotel and rest for the day.

• Day 6 : Leh

  This is a rest day in Leh that can be used to soak in the rich local culture & heritage. After breakfast you can go for local sight seeing of Leh, the capital town of Ladakh. Visit Shey Palace, Hemis Monastery, Thicksey Monastery and Stok Palace Museum. Shanti Stupa, Sankar Gompa and Leh Palace. You can also visit the “3 Idiots school” to show around to your kids. Relax and acclimatize fully.

• Day 7 : Leh ‐ Hundar

  From Leh we drive to Nubra Valley, the road to which passes through Khardung La Pass, which was once the highest Motorable road in the world. Nubra valley, just south of Siachen glacier, separates the Ladakh & Karakoram ranges of Himalayas and is a high altitude desert with scant vegetation. Historically, this was an important trade centre with Central Asia & East Turkmenistan. In Hundar one can see people with startling blue eyes, auburn hair and rosy cheeks who according to local lore are descendent's of a Greek tribe. Nubra is home to several 17th century Gompas including 132 year old Samstanling Gompa & Chamba Gompa. Diskit monastery located on a hill is the largest and oldest monastery in Nubra. Next to Hundar are several kilometers of sand dunes and one can enjoy a camel ride on the near extinct two humped Bactrian camels. Overnight stay at the campsite. Approximate driving day of 5 hours.

• Day 8 : Hunder

  This day we will explore little more in Nubra valley. In the Morning visit Diksit Monastery. Come back and enjoy your personal time with family and kids. Post lunch you can join for a short drive towards the road going to Siachen or can just sit back and relax

• Day 9 : Hunder ‐ Leh

  We return from Hunder to Leh. Evening is free for shopping as this is going to be our last day in Leh.

• Day 10 : Leh ‐ Pangong Tso Lake

  We will drive from Leh to Pangong Lake. Pangong is a saline water lake on the Line of Actual Control (60% of the lake is under Chinese control) between India & China. Overnight stay will be at a campsite. Approximate driving day of 6 hours. Explore the beauty of Pangong which means "exclusive cavity" or simply Hollow. Pangong Lake is bisected by the International border between China and India. It has an area of 780 Sq.Km divided between India and China. The glaciers and snow capped peaks in the Pangong range add to the scenic beauty of the Lake. Spend your evening at the Lake and return to the campsite as suns goes down. Enjoy your evening with bonfire and music under the stars.

• Day 11 : Pangong Tso Tso Morriri

  We will start early and go to Tso Moriri from Pangong Tso directly via remote and ever beautiful Changthang region. The drive between Pangong Tso and Tso Moriri is one of the most beautiful drives in whole Ladakh region. Tso Moriri Lake in Changthang region of Ladakh is one of the most beautiful, calm and sacred high altitude lakes in India. In fact, it is the largest high altitude lake in India that is entirely in Indian Territory. This beautiful blue pallet lake is about 7 KM wide at its broadest point and about 19 KM long. Being part of the wetland reserve under Ramsar site, it is actual known as Tsomoriri Wetland Conservation Reserve and one cannot pitch any tents or construct anything near the banks of the lake. It is the highest Ramsar site in the world. A large number of flora and fauna is found in the region. Since, it is very near to the Line of Actual Control, one need to get Inner Line Permit to visit Tso Moriri. Reach by the evening explore lake and sleep very early.

• Day 12 : Tso morriri

  We will leave from Tso morriri at 7.00 am . On the Way you will see another lake Tso Kar. Stop for photo session and head towards Pang. After crossing More plains we will reach Pang. Take a short break in pang and start towards Sarchu. Climb down the Gatta Loops, a series of 21 hairpin bends carved into the mountainside and then pass after crossing the Zanskar range we will reach Sarchu. Sarchu is on the Himachal Pradesh Jammu & Kashmir border. Enjoy the Milky Way at night and Overnight stay in a campsite.

• Day 13 : Sarchu ‐ Manali

  Start your day after breakfast. The road to Manali follows the picturesque Bhaga river across Baralacha La pass and Suraj taal Lake. We will pass Jispa, Keylong, Khoksar and climb up to rohtang pass. This pass will remind you of Zozila for sure. Reach Manali and relax. We will have a Gala dinner party where we can exchange goodbye notes.

• Day 14 : Manali ‐ Chandigarh

  After breakfast we will leave for Chandigarh/ Delhi Time to get back home with lots and lots of memories and with new Go Boundless family and lifetime friends.
