Famous as the gateway to the stunning state of Himachal Pradesh, Kalka has successfully retained its unique charm in the modern age. Some of the popular places in Kalka are Kali Mata Temple and Shri Balaji Temple.

The city boasts of its rich culture and heritage, which are visible through its beautiful collection of temples, some old palaces and exquisite form of colonial architecture.   Taragarh in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra Valley is home to the majestic Taragarh Palace, one of the most popular attractions of the region. The palace was built by the Nawab of Bahawalpur Sadiq Mohammed Khan in 1937 which later became the property of Royal Family of Jammu & Kashmir. A heritage hotel since 1971, it is an awesome place to get the resplendent views of the snowy Dhauladhar mountain ranges.

  Featuring picturesque natural beauty, Dharamshala is a popular tourist spot in Himachal Pradesh.   Located at a height of about 1,800 feet above the sea level, Pragpur is a tiny village in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra District. It was declared a heritage village by the Himachal Pradesh Government in December 1997. The village was founded around the late 16th century to honour Princess Prag of the Jaswan royal family. It is famous for housing three holy Shaktipeeths - Chintapoorni, Jwalamukhi and Brijeshwari.

The archaeological remains of the temples situated at Dholbaha are main attraction here.
