Catch “gold fever” and experience what it was like to seek your fortune during Gold Rush days! Learn to pan for gold (and keep all you find!), and discover Juneau’s colorful mining heritage for yourself. Head out with a prospector/guide for a historical tour of Juneau en route to “Last Chance Basin”. Your prospector will show you how gold panning is done on the banks of Gold Creek, in a beautiful, secluded mountain setting.

Savor the aroma of wild Alaska salmon grilling over a fragrant alderwood fire—this sumptuous all you can eat feast features our signature alderwood-grilled WILD Alaska salmon, Cheechako chicken, Chilkoot baked beans, Tongass wild-rice pilaf, hot chowder, a selection of sides, salads, beverages and homemade blueberry cake for desert. Beer and wine are available for purchase.

Notes: We recommend guests to wear warm comfortable layers and bring gloves and an extra pair of socks. No prior experience necessary. Children must weigh at least 40 pounds to fit into required life jackets. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 13-17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate in the absence of a parent or guardian.
