Day 1 : Arrive Trivandrum
Today you arrive at Trivandrum airport and our representative shall meet you and transfer you to Hotel for Check-in.
Trivandrum - Trivandrum is an ancient city with tradition dating back to 1000 BC. Thiruvananthapuram became the capital of Raja of Travancore in 1750. The city gets its name from the word, Thiru-anantha-puram, meaning the city of Anantha or the abode of the sacred Serpent Anantha on which Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the Hindu trinity, reclines. Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram), the capital of the state of Kerala is a beautiful seaside city built on seven hills. It is located on the west coast of India near the extreme south of the mainland spreading over a total of 2,192 Sq.km.

Day 2 : Trivandrum - Perunad (150 km / 04 hr)
Today we drive to Perunad and check-in the Homestay.
Perunad - Perunad is chiefly a plantation township, the important crop being rubber. Perunad is known for its natural beauty, rivers, rubber and pineapple plantations,hills, valleys, forests.One of the most important pilgrim centres in South India - Sabarimala Sree Sastha Temple - is located in Perunad Panchayat. Perunad is noted for the Kakkattu Koikkal Sree Dharma Sastha Temple. The processions of Thiruvabharanam and "Thanka Anki" - The Royal Ornaments of Lord Ayyappa halt here. The Ayyappa idol in the temple used to get decorated with "Thiruvabharanam" for a day during its return trip from Sabarimala to Pandalam palace.
This gives an opportunity for the women to witness Ayyappa decorated with Thiruvabharanam as they cannot enter the Sabarimala temple. Another famous religious place is the Bethany Orthdox Ashram located on Bethany Hills. Malankara Catholic Pilgrim Centre is also get religious importance.

Today we take a half day tour of Perunad and do the following :
Take a Plantation Walk - Today you will be taken for a guided plantation walk, to see the local agricultural techniques and lifestyle of the local farmers.
Excursion to Sabarimala Temple - Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha Temple, dedicated to Lord Ayyappa, is the most famous and prominent among all the Sastha temples in Kerala. The temple is situated on a hilltop (about 3000 feet above sea level) named Sabarimala in Pathanamthitta district, which is unique in many respects. The uniqueness gathers its voice, as the temple is open to all, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. There is a place near the temple; east to Sannidhanam, dedicated to the Vavar (a sufi and friend of Lord Ayyappa) which is called 'Vavarunada', an epitome of religious harmony. Another interesting fact is that it is not open throughout the year. It is open for worship only during the days of Mandalapooja, Makaravilakku and Chitra Vishu.

Today we take a tour of Perunad and do the following :
Bird Watching walk - Today you will be going for a guided Birdwatching trip. Here you will get an opportunity to see the various species of Birds, including migratory birds from western countries.
Optional (at extra cost) : Jeep Safari, Cooking session (local cusine in local style), Visit Rubber plantation unit.

Day 4 : Perunad - Marari (150 km/04 hr)
Today we drive to Marari and check-in the homestay.

Today we take a half day tour of Marari and do the following :
Visit Alleppey Town - A town with picturesque canals, backwaters, beaches, and lagoons, it was described as the one of the places known as "Venice of the East" by Marco Polo (1292). It is the administrative headquarters of Alappuzha District. Though the present town owes its existence to the sagacious Diwan Raja Kesavadas in the second half of 18th century, district of Alappuzha figures in classical Literature. Kuttanad, the rice bowl of Kerala with the unending stretch of paddy fields, small streams and canals with lush green coconut palms, was well known even from the early periods of the Sangam age.
History says Alappuzha had trade relations with ancient Greece and Rome in Antiquity and in the Middle Ages, as well as with other parts of India. The famous Chettikulangara temple is at Mavelikkara in Alappuzha district. Arthunkal church and Edathuva church are famous Christian worship centres in the district.
Visit Marari Beach - Marari Beach is an endless vista of sand and surf, but it is more. An authentic experience of the world of Kerala's traditional fishing villages, and a recreation of an ancient, harmonious way of life. Munnar - It is one of the attractions that contributed to Kerala's popularity as a travel destination among domestic and foreign travellers. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala, and perched about 1600 m above sea level, the hill station of Munnar once used to be the Summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in south India. This hill station is marked by vast expanses of tea plantations, colonial bungalows, rivulets, waterfalls and cool weather.

Today we take a tour of Munnar and do the following :
Tea Plantation Tour - Just plain walks around Munnar enable you to experience spectacular views, with tea plantation gardens, evergreen forests, misty mountains and tiny flowing streams. Munnar provides a great panoramic view of the unadulterated forests and hills. Quiet walks and hiking around this small hill station offers an unique experience. The lush green tea estates of Munnar offer another thrilling experience to the tourist. One can witness and learn the entire tea making process right from plucking to processing and packaging of tea. The guide will take you to the Kundale tea plantation to witness and learn the entire tea making process right from plucking to processing and packaging.
Visit Tata Tea Museum - This museum is a fascinating place where you can witness the entire process of tea production, its processing and tea tasting. This Museum uncovers the history of tea industry in Munnar. It displays pristine artifacts and relics in good number, historic photographs and period furniture. The visitors get advantaged to the intricacies of tea-processing and tea-tasting explained.

Day 8 : Munnar - Pollachi (100 km/03hr)
Today we drive to Pollachi.
Half Day Tour/Activity : (2nd Half)
Enroute we visit Ervikulam National Park - A sanctuary for the endangered mountain goat of South India, the Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragus hylocrious), the Eravikulam National Park stands out for the stark beauty of its rolling grasslands and sholas, spread over 97 sq km in the Rajamalai hills.
Later we drive further towards Pollachi and visit Chinnar Wildlife Snctuary - The Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the rain shadow region of Western Ghats of Kerala, India., and represents a large number of plants and animals unique to the thorny vegetation. Apart from the dry thorn forests, due to the significant variation in altitude and rainfall, it has a wide array of habitat types like deciduous forests, dry thorny forest, riparian types, sholas and grasslands that are interspersed with plains, hillocks, rocks and cliffs which provide microhabitats for varied forms of life.
We continue our drive to Pollachi and check-in the Homestay.
Pollachi - It is a town that is located in Tamilnadu. Green rice fields can be seen all around the town and entire area is extremely pretty. The town is located around 40km from the city of Coimbatore. Pollachi is located very close to the Western Ghats and it has a pleasant climate throughout the year. Pollachi get substantial rainfall during the monsoon season and this is the reason for the predominance of agriculture in the area.
There are many ancient temples that are located in Pollachi and the town itself is very old. The Subramanyar Temple is considered to be among the oldest in the area.

Day 9 : Pollachi

Today we take a tour of Pollachi and do the following :
Farm Tour - the chance to see it in the real way in many ways according to the season and time of the year. One can see coconut plantations, paddy fields, vanilla farms, tea or coffee gardens, beatle leaf plantations and a host of other crops and cultivation's depending on the time of the year. The guest has the opportunity to interact with the simple farm worker or to just see our daily consumables being grown.
Bullock cart ride - Enjoy the bullok cart ride into the local surroundings. This ride would take you through the local landscape providing the opportunity to visit a pottery unit, saree weaving facility and cultivated fields.

Day 10 : Pollachi

Today we take an excursion of Parambikula Tiger Reserve.
Visit Parambikulam Tiger Reserve - Parambikkulam is an oasis of tranquil greenery nestled in a valley between the Anamalai ranges of Tamilnadu and the Nelliyampathy ranges of Kerala. The Parambikkulam Wildlife Sanctuary spreads over an area of 285 sq km in the Western Ghats.The sanctuary offers an exotic experience of the rare fauna of Kerala. Quite a few hill tribes, like the Malayars, the Kadars and the Muthuvans also live in the jungles of Parambikkulam. The fauna here include bonnet macaques, Nilgiri langurs, Lion-tailed macaques, tigers, spectacled cobras, kraits, vipers, turtles, darters, little cormorants and black eagles.
In Parambikulam Tiger Reserve we do the following :
Visit Kannimari Teak (The largest teak in Asia) - The sanctuary also has a variety of trees mainly teak, neem, sandalwood and rosewood. The oldest teak tree 'Kannimari' stands tall here.
Take a guided bird watching walk - Today we take a guided birdwatching Tour inside the reserve. Take short trek which would provide the opportunities for spotting various species of wildlife and landscape photography.
