Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Keflavik, Iceland - Blue Lagoon - Reykjavik.

  Fly to Keflavik, where you'll be met by our representative before beginning your Icelandic adventure at the Blue Lagoon. Flights must arrive before 2 pm. Let your stresses and strains float away as the natural geothermal pool soothes you with its mineral-rich waters. Set in the middle of a large and dramatic lava field, it is the perfect start to your holiday. Later, take in the changing scenery as you drive to Reykjavik for one night.
• Day 2 : Reykjavik - Golden Circle - Selfoss.

  Today is your tour of the Golden Circle, overflowing with naturally vibrant and picturesque sites. Start the day on a visit to Skáholt, which is one of two ancient bishop's seats and for centuries was Iceland's main cultural and political centre. Next is a visit to the geothermally active valley of Haukadalur, which includes the famous Gesir and Strokkur geysers. Here, you'll see the multi-coloured pools of water and mud exploding into steam pillars as eruptions happen every 5-10 minutes. After an optional lunch break, drive to Gulfoss (the Golden Waterfall), which some say is the most beautiful spot in Iceland, and take a walk around the falls. Here, the Hvita River tumbles 32 metres (105 feet) in a double cascade, and when the sun is shining, you're likely to see a rainbow through the massive spray that forms. A scenic drive leads to beautiful Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can stroll through the country's most sacred site that is home to the oldest existing parliament in the world, the Althingi. This area is a geographical marvel full of spectacular views and set on a vast plain flanked by large fissures sitting on the largest lake in Iceland, Thingvallavatn. The clearly visible Great Atlantic Rift is your final sight today. Here you can literally walk between the American and Eurasian tectonic plates, which are slowly pulling Iceland in two. Overnight in Selfoss.
• Day 3 : Reykjavik - Ilulissat, Greenland

  Today, fly to Greenland. On arrival, stretch your legs on a guided walking tour of Ilulissat, a stunning coastal city and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It sits at the mouth of the ice-laden sea, reflecting the beautifully coloured wooden buildings dotted around the peaceful landscape. At the end of the day you have the option to join a unique midnight sailing through the dramatic icebergs. This is a truly exceptional experience, and many people return again and again.
• Day 4 : Ilulissat - Oqaatsut Hunter’s Settlement.

  Leave Ilulissat on a beautiful boat trip through the icy waters to Oqaatsut, which was once a stopover for Dutch whalers. Take a guided walk through the village before having lunch at the old trading station. The village, whose population is only about 50 people, lies in a stunning untouched setting, just 15 km north of Ilulissat. It has its own school, church, shop, a single restaurant, H8, and is an idyllic escape from the modern world.
• Day 5 : Ilulissat - Reykjavik, Iceland

  Today, travel as far as the road allows for a visit to an Inuit settlement at the Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is an amazing opportunity to see how the Inuit people live in the Icefjord, a natural arena with icebergs and endless azure water. A guided walking tour takes you around the settlement, which has been inhabited by various Inuit cultures over the past 4,000 years and stills shows remains from ancient times. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Reykjavik.
• Day 6 : Reykjavik - Keflavik.

  Your holiday ends with breakfast this morning.
