Situated in the region of Jammu and Kashmir Leh Ladakh currently extends from the Kuen Lun mountain range to the main Great Himalayas to the south. This beautiful land is inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. Also known as land of High Passes ladakh is the most stunning destination of Himalayas.
Day 1 : Leh
Arrival at Leh airport where you will be greeted by our representative. Enjoy your eveing at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2 : Leh (Hemis gompa monastery, Thiksey monastery, Sindhu ghat)
After a sumptous breakfast drive to Hemis Monastery. It is situated in green hills surrounded by spectacular mountains. Later visit Thiksey Monastery (18 Kms from Leh in Indus Valley). A home to 120 monks and nunnery this Monastery has 12 floors and 10 temples. Also known as ‘Mini Potals’ because of its resemblance to Potala Palace’’ On your way back you can visit ‘Sindhu Ghat’, a peaceful river bank and is one of the seven sacred rivers in India. Enjoy the misty evenings and hot and peppy dinner.
Day 3 : Leh (Pangong Lake)
After breakfast drive to Pangong Lake. Situated at the height of 4250 meters from Leh, Panong lake is spread over 100 km across the borders of two countries, India and China. Considered as the most largest brackish lake in Asia it has crystal clear blue colour water. The beauty of Panong Lake with its naturally coloured mountains in the backdrop and deep blue crystal clear water is simply unexplainable and could only be experienced.
Day 4 : Nubra Valley
Enjoy a hot and sizzling breakfast get set for an adventurous trip to Khardung La Pass, a high mountain pass located near the Khardong village, in the Ladakh region of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. At an elevation of 18,379 ft, Khardung La is the world’s highest motorable road. This pass is a must visit while you are in Leh because of the amazing views of the valley which it offers.
Visit Nubra Valley The deep cut Shyok and Nubra River Valleys (permit required) offer tremendous yet accessible scenery with green oasis villages surrounded by thrillingly stark scree slopes, boulder fields and harsh arid mountains. There are sand dunes, monasteries, a ruined palace and at Turtuk a whole different culture (Balti) to discover.
Day 5 : Leh (Diskit Monastery and return to Nubra Valley)
After breakfast visit Diskit Monastery. It is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, northern India. This wonderful statue has been built by raising funds from Buddhist Association and Ladakh’s Tourist Office.
Explore the local market by evening. While there you can shop for curios, souvenirs, Pashmina shaals and stoles. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 6 : Leh (sight-seeing)
Today have a hearty breakfast and spend a day at leisure. Explore the beauty of this little town and admire the scenic beauty. You may want to explore the local market and check out the ‘specialty’ here or taste the local cuisine. Don’t forget to buy some souvenirs and memorabilia’s. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7 : Final Bye
After breakfast, Checking out the hotel and leaving Leh to catch Train/Flight
