Destinations Covered: The 8 days and 7 nights 'Indian Sojourn' is an exciting blend of North, Central and Western Indian destination. In North India, you will cover the famous golden triangle circuit-New Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Each of these cities is dotted with several historic monuments built by Rajput and Mughal rulers. Apart from this, there is Sawai Madhopur, where guests can enjoy the thrill of exploring wildlife in their natural turf. Then there is Sanchi, which is home to several Buddhist monuments commissioned by Ashok The Great. Not to miss the great sites of Ajanta & Ellora, both of which are home to Hindu, Buddhist and Jain sculptures and mural paintings.

Full day excursion at Rathambore National Parks.
Visit the palaces and forts of Jaipur.
Explore the colorful markets of Jaipur.
Visit attractions of Agra like Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, etc.

CHECK IN PROCEDURE:
In Delhi security check will be conducted at the time of check-in at the railway station, whereby, luggage is required to be scanned. Please present your passport at the time of check in to collect ticket voucher and relevant documents.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : New Delhi

  Arrive at the Delhi Cantt Station (New Delhi) to board the Indian Sojourn journey of the Deccan Odyssey India Luxury Train. Get the traditional welcome. Thereafter, as you enjoy the welcome drink, explore the lavish interiors of the train. As the train chugs towards its eventful journey, get settled in your royal cabins. Dinner will be served onboard.

• Day 2 : Sawai Madhopur

  In the morning, the train arrives at the Sawai Madhopur. The day is to be spent in the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. The tiger reserve was formerly the private hunting space of the Maharajas of Jaipur. Explore the rich flora and fauna of the national park through morning and afternoon safaris. The guides also provided proper information about the national park and flora & fauna. While on safari, do not miss to spot the elusive big cats. After full-day excursion, return to the train and continue with the journey towards next destination.

• Day 3 : Jaipur

  Early morning, the train arrives at Jaipur. After breakfast, detrain the Deccan Odyssey and explore the Pink City. The city is best known for its majestic forts and beautiful Palaces, dotted throughout the city. Additionally, visit the colorful bazaars of Jaipur and do not miss to buy some of the unique artifacts for your family and friends. Dinner will be arranged at special venue. Return to train to continue with the journey. As the train chugs towards the next destination, you may sleep in your respective cabins.

• Day 4 : Agra

  The train arrives at Agra in the morning. The city is also famed for being the major Mughal Citadel. The day is decided to be enjoyed exploring the architectural richness of the city. The iconic Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and also one of the World Heritage Sites announced by UNESCO. The full-day excursion also includes visit to various other architectural gems of the Mughal Empire, such as the majestic Agra Fort and the Itmad-ud-Daulah. Later, return to the train; enjoy dinner onboard as the luxury travel train moves to the next destination.

• Day 5 : Sanchi

  The luxury train arrives at Sanchi in the morning. The day is to be spent exploring the richness of the Buddhist city of Sanchi. The city is one of the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites. Enjoy the day exploring the well-preserved Stupas, which are said to be built from the 3rd century BC to the 12th century AD, over a period of thirteen hundred years. After the full-day excursion in Sanchi, return to the train. Dinner will be served onboard.

• Day 6 : Aurangabad / Ajanta Caves

  The train reaches Aurangabad; detrain and drive to Ajanta Caves. These magnificent caves have also been listed as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Explore the site and witness the exquisite ancient frescos, sculptures and murals that beautifully portray the life of Lord Buddha. After the full-day excursion, return to the train and continue with the journey towards next destination. Enjoy dinner onboard.

• Day 7 : Daulatabad / Ellora Caves

  The luxury train arrives at Daulatabad as the day is decided to explore the magnificence of Ellora Caves. The architectural brilliance is one of the major factors that qualifies the attraction to be listed as the UNESCO's World Heritage Site. The Kailasha Temple is one of the outstanding structures, which has been carved out of a giant monolith. The temple is also acclaimed to be one of the finest specimens of rock cut architecture. Return to the train as dinner would be served onboard.

• Day 8 : Mumbai

  On this day, the luxury train travel week comes to the end. In morning, the train arrives as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Mumbai). Detrain and bid adieu to the Indian Sojourn journey of the Deccan Odyssey Luxury Train.

• All Costs are in USD, EURO, GBP and INR.


• The above costs are per cabin per Journey.


• Government Service tax of 3.61% is additional and will be charged extra on the published tariff.


• As the train runs on the tracks of the Indian Railways, the itineraries are subject to change incase of any changes in the routing etc.


• Prices are subject to change incase of any amendment in the routing or other hikes such as fuel,taxes etc.


• Children below 5 years of age shall be allowed free, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.


• Presidential Suite can accommodate upto 3 adults or 2 Adults and 2 children (One child upto 5 years of age and second child up to 12 years of age) CHILD.

Child Policy

• Deccan Odyssey does accommodate children but we ask parents to be mindful of the sophisticated adult atmosphere we endeavor to maintain.


• One child up to 5 years of age shall be allowed free of cost in the Deluxe Cabin, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.


• For families, with a child between 6-12 years of age, or, with two children with one child below 5 years and another between 6-12 years, we recommend the Presidential Suite which has a double bed in the bedroom and can be shared with a child below 5 years and a sofa cum bed in the living room which can accommodate the older child. In this case, the child/children will be accommodated free of cost.


• In case of two children between 6-12 years of age travelling with their parents, you will have to take 2 cabins. The first child pays 25% of the adult fare and the second child will have to pay 50% of the adult fare. One of the parents will have to be present with the child / children in the cabin.


• Please note that we do not have the facility for interconnecting cabins.


• All applicable taxes will be charged extra.

Payment:

• 20% of the ticket value at the time of booking


• 80% of the ticket value 45 days before the departure date

Cancellation:

• Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Email and subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division


• No cancellation on cancelling 60 days prior to the departure date


• Retention of 20% of ticket value on cancelling 59 - 45 days prior to the departure date


• Retention of 50% of ticket Value on cancelling 44 - 30 days prior to the departure date


• Retention of 100% of ticket value on cancelling 29 days prior to the departure date
