Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Delhi

  Arrival at the New Delhi international airport. Transfer and check in into hotel. After some rest, sightseeing of Delhi including Mahatma Gandhi Museum, the Bangla Sahib Sikh temple (for its special atmosphere) and rickshaw ride in Old Delhi. Overnight at Delhi.

• Day 2 : Mandawa

  After breakfast dep. for Mandawa. Upon reaching Mandawa, check in into the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Mandawa.

• Day 3 : Mandawa

  Breakfast at the hotel and thereafter a tour of the Shekhawati region. The Shekhawati region is well known as the "Open air art gallery" of India. Some of the most successful merchants of India, originated from this region and in a spirit of one-up-man-ship amongst them, got their traditional houses painted by some of the finest painted and artists of Rajasthan. Afternoon return to Mandawa . Post lunch walking tour in Mandawa town to visit some of its famous painted mansions. Dinner and overnight.

• Day 4 : Kuchaman

  Breakfast at the hotel and thereafter dep. for Jhunjhunun. From Jhunjhunun, we board an old local train that takes us through the desert landscape of the area. The Indian trains are like a melting pot of Indian daily life where you can meet people of different areas, religions and professions, all traveling with a variety of reasons. And given the natural Indian habit to strike a conversation, a train ride is guaranteed to be a memorable cultural experience. From Jhunjhunun by train to Sikar. Post train ride transfer to Kuchaman. Here we check in into the Kuchaman fort, a medieval fort, now turned into a delightful hotel. Raised higher than the surrounding area, the fort offers a splendid view of the landscape. Dinner and overnight at Kuchaman.
  

• Day 5 : Chandelao

  Morning departure to the village of Chandelao. Lunch en route. The village of Chandelao, is situated about 40 km from Jodhpur, the second biggest town of Rajasthan and home to one of Rajasthan's longest running dynasties. Chandelao, one of the land lordship under the Jodhpur kingdom, today offers a unique combination of medieval history and authentic rural culture. Situated in the very colorful and lively village of Chandelao, is the 'Garh' (fort) of Chandelao, our accommodation for the place. Upon arrival, we check in into Chandelaogarh and relax. Late afternoon, we have a leisurely walk in the village where we get a first hand experience of everyday life in an Indian village. We can see colorfully dressed ladies fetching water, visit rural homes and mingle with the villagers.

• Day 6 : Chandelao

  This morning, we do a full day Camel safari in areas around Chandelao . Our safari would go through various villages and we would have our lunch in a village, en route. The camel Safari would comclude at Sunset at our 'Sundowner' spot, where we would enjoy a ( simple) Barbecued dinner with possibility of drinks. Overnight at Chandelao.

• Day 7 : Chandelao

  After breakfast we leave by jeeps for another village near Chandelao. Here we visit some potters and meet some women who do beautiful embroidery work. After having lunch with one of the families, we can have an option to either spend the second half of the day with these artisans to learn a bit more of their art or to return to Chandelao for a relaxed afternoon. Evening we enjoy a show of some of most beautiful folk music and dance of Rajasthan along with the villagers. Dinner and overnight.

• Day 8 : Pushkar

  Breakfast at the hotel followed by transfer to Pushkar. Pushkar is one of the holiest pilgrimages for Hindus, all over India and is home to the only temple of the 'Creator' God, Bramha. Upon arrival in Pushkar we check in into our hotel. Afternoon at leisure to leisurely enjoy the colorful and bustling markets of Pushkar. Dinner and overnight at Pushkar.

• Day 9 : Ranthambore

  Morning transfer to Ranthambore. We arrive in Ranthambore, after driving over some not commonly used routes through rural areas. Post arrival check in at Hotel. Overnight at Ranthambore

• Day 10 : Ranthambore

  Morning and afternoon Tiger safaris with open Canters and naturalist. Afternoon to relax at the hotel by the pool. Overnight in Ranthambore.
  

  • Themes : Jungle Safari

• Day 11 : Jaipur

  Morning transfer to Jaipur. In Jaipur, we check in into our hotel. Post lunch, we visit some sights of Jaipur, including the City Palace museum and Wind Palace. Later we enjoy a bicycle rickshaw ride through the busy markets of Jaipur and experience the ?Pink city? from close quarters. Overnight at Jaipur.

  • Hotspots : City Palace

• Day 12 : Jaipur

  Today, we start our day by visiting the famous Amber fort while riding an elephant up to the fort. Post lunch we visit a local non-governmental organisation, working for education of poor urban children. During the visit, we also try to understand the issues faced by the Indian society and the efforts made by the NGOs in tackling social issues. Late afternoon free for personal time in market. Our dinner on this evening will be with a middle class family. At the family?s home we will see the life style of the ordinary urban Indian, which also brings out the contrast between the urban and rural divide in the Indian society. Overnight at Jaipur.
  

  • Hotspots : Amber Fort

• Day 13 : Delhi

  Early or late departure to Delhi (depending if we wish to spend free time in Delhi or in Jaipur) . In Delhi, we will check in at our hotel for overnight stay.

• Day 14 : Departure

  Early morning drop at the international airport.
