Day 1 : Yangon | Prome Activities: Visit Site of Ancient Pyu Civilization
On the first day of our tour, guests will meet in Yangon where they will transfer, by bus, to Prome. Here guests will have the pleasure of visiting the archaeological site of Thiri-ya-kittiya, the site of the ancient Pyu civilization. Our tour will then take us through the jungle to visit the ancient Pyu stupas and the former palace. Guests will then enjoy a lovely dinner together and settle in for the night.

Day 2 : Prome | Thayetmyo Frontier Post Activities: Visit Thayetmyo Frontier Post
On day 2 our our journey, we will sail north to Thayetmyo Frontier Post. This small town is rich in history as it once served as the border between Royal Burma and British Burma and much of the architecture within the town dates back to this period (after the end of the second Anglo Burmese War in 1855). Guests will have the day to explore the hustle and bustle of the small town before riding in a horse cart out into the countryside to witness some of the gorgeous landscapes.

Day 3 : Thayetmyo Frontier Post | Minhla Forts | Magwe Activities: Visit Minhla Forts - Visit Myat - Thalon
This morning, as we enjoy breakfast onboard, our tour will continue north to visit two Italian forts. The Minhla Forts were built with the intention of keeping the British out of Royal Burma. While here, guests will climb the Gwechaung Hill to see the gorgeous surrounding views. In the afternoon, we will continue north to Magwe where we will visit the stunning Myat-Thalon Pagoda before heading back to the boat for dinner under the stars.

Day 4 : Magwe | Sale Monasteries Activities: Visit Sale Monasteries
Today guests will have the chance to visit several teak monasteries with intricate wooden engravings. We will also explore the colonial houses that surround the monasteries.

Day 5 : Sale Monasteries | Bagan Activities: Visit the Famous Archaeological Site in Bagan
Today guests will have the opportunity to visit the famous archaeological site of Bagan. The tour will explore a selection of the 3,000 ancient structures that are located in this World Heritage Site. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Day 6 : Bagan | Oh Ne Kyaung Activities: Explore Bagan Further - Stroll Through Oh Ne Kyaung
On the sixth day, guests will continue to explore the ancient monuments of Bagan, there is so much to see and to learn in this old city! When our exploring has come to a close, we will sail upstream to the riverside village of Oh Ne Kyaung to take a stroll through the village and catch a glimpse into the life of the people that live alongside the Irrawaddy River.

Day 7 : Oh Ne Kyaung | Yandabo Village Activities: Pottery Demonstration
Today, guests will continue upstream to a small rural village: Yandabo Village. This small town is famous for their pottery and our tour will receive a demonstration of how this traditional pottery is made and what makes it special and unique to this part of Myanmar.

Day 8 : Yandabo Village | Mandalay Activities: Explore Mandalay - Visit Amanapura - Visit U Bein Bridge
Today, our tour will take us to the beautiful city of Mandalay. Here, guests will have the chance to explore the city and visit the Mahamuni Pagoda and the Shwe Nan Daw Kyaung teak carved Monastery. This little adventure will be followed by a trip to the ancient capital of Amarapura as well as a visit to see the iconic U Bein Bridge.

Day 9 : Mandalay | Mingun Activities: Visit Mingun Pagoda and Bell
On the ninth day of our delightful tour, guests will visit Mingun. Here, we will get to see the largest working bell in the world as well as an unfinished pagoda nearby that is known for being one of the largest brick buildings in the world.

Day 10 : Mingun | Kyaung - Myoung | Khan - Nyat Village Activities: Pottery Demonstration - Visit Monasteries
Today, our cruise will set out early to visit Kyauk-Myoung, a small village where 50 gallon pots are made by hand. We will be able to watch the entire involved process from the throwing of the pots to the firing of the pots in the kiln (it can take up to a week!). Afterwards, we will continue upstream to stop in Khan-Nyat Village where we will visit some of the many Buddhist monasteries located there.

Day 11 : Khan - Nyat Village | Taguang Ancient City Activities: Visit Ancient City of Taguang - Climb Tigyang
On the eleventh day of our fun-filled tour, guests will visit the ancient city of Taguang. Learn about the history of the city, visit the ancient architecture, and stare in awe of the shrine of Bo Bo Gyi, who protects sailors on the river as well as the entire ancient city in which the shrine is located. In the evening, guests will climb the Pagoda Hill at Tigyang to look out at the stunning views of the river as it weaves its way through the countryside.

Day 12 : Taguang Ancient City | Katha Activities: Explore Colonial Town of Katha
oday we will continue upstream to the colonial town of Katha. This town provided the backdrop for George Orwell’s book, Burmese Days. The wonderful thing about the little town is that it has changed very little since the writing of this book and has retained a great deal of its authenticity.

Day 13 : Katha | Irrawaddy River Activities: Cruise Along the River
Today guests will spend the whole day on the water as we continue cruising upstream. Enjoy the delightful scenery along the way!

Day 14 : Irrawaddy River Activities: Cruise Along the River - Jungle Walk
Guests will spend another day on the water today as we begin our journey back downstream, we will stop for a quick jungle walk along the way.

Day 15 : Mandalay Activities: Departure
Today guests will disembark in Mandalay where our journey will come to a conclusion. Guests will say their goodbyes and continue on to their next destinations.
