Day 1 : Arrival Amman International Airport
Upon arrival at Amman Airport our representative will welcome and assist you through immigration procedures and match with your tour leader. Transfer to your hotel where the rest of the day is free.
Day 2 : Amman City Tour - Kahf Al Raqim
After breakfast, we will start the tour with a visit of the Citadel in Amman with remains from Roman to Islamic period as well as the Archaeological Museum. We will proceed in downtown, the oldest part of Amman to Al Husseini Mosque, built on remains of a mosque in 640 AD by caliph Umar bin Al Khattab. You will have time to stroll via the souq before we continue to the tomb of the venerable companion Abdul Rahman bin Awf Al Zuhri, one of the ‘Blessed Ten’. Then transfer to your hotel to check-in. We will end the day at Kahf Al Raqim, the Cave of the Seven Sleepers, with a nosque fitting the description of the Holy Quran. Return to Amman for overnight at hotel
Day 3 : Amman - Jordan Valley - Kerak - Petra
After breakfast, we will drive to Wadi Shuayb, near Salt, to the Shrine of Prophet Shuayb. From there we will head to the Jordan Valley, to the tomb of Abu Ubaida Amer bin Al-Jarrah, a relative of Prophet Mohammad, commander of the Northern Muslim Army, and one of the Blessed Ten, to whom Mohammad promised paradise. We will visit moreover the tomb of Moath bin Jabal, who compiled the Holy Quran during the life of Prophet Mohammad, and the tomb of Dear bin Al Azwar. In the afternoon, drive southwards to Kerak, visit the famous castle and go on to the site of the Battle of Mutah in 629 AD. Here we find the tombs of the venerable companion Zaid bin Harithah, who led the army during the battle of Mutah and died, the tomb of Ja’far bin Abi Talib and Abdullah bin Ruwahah. Overnight at the hotel in Petra.
Day 4 : Petra Visit - Jerusalem
After breakfast, we will visit Petra’s Site. Petra is one of the world’s greatest archaeological sites and today’s one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. A 2000 year old ancient city and known as the “red rock city”, Petra was the ancient capital of the Nabateans from the 3rd century BC to the 2nd century AC. Carved by the Nabataeans out of solid rock, Petra was forgotten for hundreds of years until it was rediscovered in 1812. At the entrance of Petra, travellers are offered the option to ride a horse for 800m – from the visitors centre to the entrance of the dramatic «Siq» ( canyon). From the entrance to the Siq there is a 1250 meter walk to the 1st monument «The treasury». Throughout most of the day we will explore Petra’s incredible structures: the treasury, the field of tombs, the obelisks and the altar, and much more. In the afternoon, departure to Palestine. Cross via the Allenby Bridge, reception and transfer to Jerusalem. Overnight at the hotel in Jerusalem.
Day 5 : Jerusalem
After breakfast, the day will be spent visiting Jerusalem, a city holy to the three great monotheistic religions. The ancient city has experienced great bloodshed over the centuries, twenty times destroyed and yet still standing. Visit of the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa mosque, prayer in both of them. Then there’ll be a guided tour of numerous sites dated the pre-Islamic period. Walking by the old city Souqs which bring you to the great sites such as Cardo ‘the ancient Roman city’, mosque of Salf Al-Din and Church of Saint Sepulcre ‘one of the emblems of Christianity’. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Day 6 : Bethlehem - Jerusalem - Bethlehem
After breakfast, you will continue visiting Jerusalem by going to the The Mount of Olives. The highest peak, at-Tur, rises to 818 meters and offers not only a splendid view on the old city, but also an important place in the history of three monotheist religions. Visit of Raba’a Adwieh tomb. She was a dancer and singer during the Abbasside period. Once she left the world of spectacle and devoted her life to Islam. Today she is one of the most famous women in Islam. Visit of Salman Al Farisi tomb, companion of Khalif Omar Ben Al Khtab. All together they reached Al Quds in 638. Visit of the old city, mosques, and art museums. Pray in the mosque Al Aqsa. Overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 7 : Jerusalem - Bethlehem - Hebron ( Al Khalil )
After breakfast visit of the historical center of Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity, one of the oldest continuously operating churches in the world, built over the cave that tradition marks as the birthplace of Prophet Issa. There’s a story that Salah El Din prayed there in honor of the Prophet Issa. In the afternoon departure to Hebron «Khalil alrahman», built by the Canaanites around 4000 BC. You will be taken around the Old City, visit the Tomb of the Patriarchs which contains the tombs of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their wives. Prayer in the Al Khalil mosque. Then you’ll visit the Hebron’s Casbah which reveals to visitors a lot of surprises, such as famous glass and ceramic manufactories. For those interested, they will have the opportunity to visit the camp of the Palestinian refugees “Al Dohaisha”. Overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 8 : Bethlehem - Jericho - Amman
After breakfast, you will depart for a green oasis near the Dead Sea : Jericho, the lowest city in the world at 240 metres below the sea level. Stop in Ibmoussa mosque: according to Quran, the Prophet Moussa –Moïse is buried there. Prayer. Visiting Jericho and Qasr Hisham, in the north of the oasis, where the Umayyads built a palace that houses beautiful mosaic floors. You will also see the Mount of Quarantine which overlooks the oasis. Transfer to Jordan border and overnight at Amman Hotel.
Day 9 : Amman Hotel - Amman Airport
Breakfast at the Hotel, Free Day till you transferred to Amman Airport for final Departure
