This package is a comprehensive tour of our most popular destinations, providing twelve days of adventure all over the country and neighboring Jordan. This is a partly guided tour, combining fascinating, informative guiding with individual exploration. You will enjoy 11 nights quality accommodation across our locations, where you can enjoy hostel activities, meet other travelers, and explore the surroundings.

In Jerusalem, you will join our Holy City tour, a great way to experience and learn about the rich history of the old city. This tour, fascinating to history lovers, includes sites holy to Jews, Muslims, and Christians and, such as the Western Wall, Dome of the Rock, Al Aqsa Mosque, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. While at the hostel you will join us for some evening time cultural activities- Jewish Shabbat dinner with fellow guests on one night, and a fun hummus cooking workshop on another night.

From the hostel, we will head out on a day tour of the West Bank, an unforgettable insight into the culture of this fascinating and controversial region. We will visit ruins of the oldest city in the world, Jericho, and then Ramallah for a taste of modern-day culture. Lastly, you will get to enter the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, where Jesus was born. The local Palestinian guide will explain the area’s rich religious significance, as well as its political and historical implications.

On another day we will take you to Hebron, one of the four holy cities in Judaism and also sacred in Islam. We will drive into the politicized city in a bullet-proof bus. The tour is split into two parts- you’ll spend the morning with Jewish “settlers”, and the afternoon with a Palestinian guide, each in their respective area of the city. This way you are given a balanced account of life in Hebron, the city of Abraham and the burial place of the Biblical Patriarchs and Matriarchs.

During your stay in Tel-Aviv you will visit historical Jaffa, and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the 3000-year-old port town. Jaffa offers a blend of galleries, archeological discoveries, a seaside promenade, and charming little shops and restaurants.

We will visit Kibbutz Maagan Michael, where you will hear what it’s like to live in a collective community from a member of the Kibbutz, and then we will have a nice meal at the communal dining hall. We will then return to Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv to learn how to cook Israeli local food in the famous Abraham Hostel Israeli Cooking Workshop.

We will start our following day with a visit to Caesarea National Park. Here you will explore the ancient Roman city, full of fascinating archeological structures that have remained standing for thousands of years, from the time of King Herod. Meandering through the park, you will see the ruins of castles, temples, a beautiful aqueduct, the city walls, towers and more.

We will then continue to Nazareth, the city where, allegedly, the angel Gabriel appeared before Mary, telling her she would conceive by the power of the Holy Spirit, and where Jesus lived. You stay at the famous Fauzi Azar Inn, a beautiful, renovated Arab mansion and the first guesthouse in Nazareth, situated on the path of the Jesus Trail.

In the morning we will head toward the Sea of Galilee, Israel’s largest fresh-water reservoir. We will visit Capernaum, a place of religious and historical significance for millions of Christians throughout the world. The next stop is the Mount of Beatitudes, the location of Jesus’s famous Sermon on the Mount took place, and where today a beautiful Catholic Franciscan chapel stands. After a short hike in the Banias Nature Reserve, we will go to Odem winery, and you will sample an assortment of fine local wines. Next up is Mount Bental, a dormant volcano which offers views of the Galilee, Golan, Syria, and Mount Hermon. Our final stop for the day will be back at the Sea of Galilee, bathing in the energizing water before returning to Nazareth.

The next part of the tour consists of two exciting days exploring the treasures of Jordan. We will cross the border and arrive at the ancient city of Jerash, an incredibly well-preserved Roman city boasting colonnaded streets, mosaics, baths, theaters, temples, and a hippodrome.

Next is the capital city of Amman. We will tour both the modern city centre and the old Citadel, which includes the Temple of Hercules and historic palaces. After having lunch at a local restaurant, we will head south to the desert and will stay at a Bedouin camp. The Bedouins, nomadic inhabitants of the desert, will provide a delicious dinner and comfortable tents for the night.

One of the highlights of this tour is a whole day exploring Petra. One of the seven wonders of the world, and poetically described as “a rose-red city half the age of time”, Petra is a marvelous place for any traveler to visit. It was carved into the red rocks of the desert cliffs thousands of years ago by the skillful, ancient Nabatean people. We will tour through the amphitheater, royal tombs, and monastery before returning to Israel via the Allenby crossing.

We will head south toward the Israeli desert for another exciting day. You will hike Masada and explore the ancient fortress and archaeological ruins at the top, while enjoying a gorgeous view of the desert and the Dead Sea. Then we will go to the Ein Gedi nature reserve, and finally, go swimming and floating in the Dead Sea, enjoying the therapeutic mud.
