Package Overview

Jiri Everest trek is the most classic and primitive trekking route used by the early expeditions before establishment of Lukla airport. This trek takes starts from the Hindu lowland of Jiri (2,100m)introducing you through the entire Khumbu region from its base to the apex a Tibetan highland and providing best opportunity of acclimatizing you. Jiri Everest trek can be more appropriately called legendary trekking through the legendary land of Sherpa and mysterious yeti.

We drive for 6 hours from Kathmandu to reach Jiri via bus which is approximately 144km from Kathmandu. On the either side of the road you can enjoy the scenic beauty passing through the pine forests, rivers, alpine lakes, Emerald hills and their terraces filled with golden rice and mustard plants. As we reach Jiri our trek commences from here following the ups and downs of the trail cutting the valleys, dropping down the through the steep Dudh koshi valley and again climbing up, in to the beautiful Sherpa villages passing one by one sete to Junbeshi, Junbeshi to the famous Sherpa village of solu, from solu to Nuntala – Pakding up to Namche bazaar - where we take a day rest as a day assimilating our self. From here the trail takes us all the way through the Everest base camp trekking route offering us the incredible view of the most spectacular Mountain View from the places like Tengboche (3867m), Kalapathar (5,554m.) and Gorak Shep, and encountering the famous Gompa including Tengboche monasteries. This trek provides you an opportunity to explore through the Sherpa land and experience their culture and lifestyle which seems to be stuck somewhere in the history.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  We Drive from Kathmandu to Jiri.
• Day 2 : Trek from Jiri

  Trek from Jiri through settlements to Bandar.
• Day 3 : Trek

  Trek from bhandar to Sete village.
• Day 4 : Trek

  Trek from Sete village over Lamjura pass to Junbesi. This will take about 5 to 6 hours of continuous walk.
• Day 5 : Trek

  We Continue our trek through Solu a beautiful and famous Sherpa village in Khumbu region up to Nuntala.
• Day 6 : Nuntala to village of Khare Khola.

  We Trek from Nuntala to village of Khare Khola.
• Day 7 : Khare khola to Surkhe.

  We trek from Khare khola to Surkhe.
• Day 8 : Surkhe to Pakding.

  We trek from Surkhe to Pakding.
• Day 9 : Namche Bazaar

  We Trek from Pakding to Namche Bazaar - where we take a day rest as a day assimilating our self
• Day 10 : Namche Bazaar

  Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar. Optional hike to Khunde and Khumjung Villages.
• Day 11 : Tengboche

  We Trek to Tengboche (3867m), from where we climb up 2 hours to reach Tengboche monastery.
• Day 12 : Pangboche

  Trek from Tengboche to Pangboche and on to Dingboche village.
• Day 13 : Acclimatization

  We spend a day Acclimatization in Pheriche. Optional hike to Chhukung Ri.
• Day 14 : Thukla

  We Trek to Thukla and continue to Lobuche.
• Day 15 : Khumbu Glacier

  We then Trek up the Khumbu Glacier to Everest Base Camp. Overnight at Gorak Shep.
• Day 16 : Kala Pathar

  Early morning we climb to Kala Pathar (5,554m.) which is one of the best Everest view point. At afternoon we trek to Thugla or Pheriche.
• Day 17 : Phortse Village.

  We Trek back to Phortse village.
• Day 18 : Namche Bazaar.

  We Trek to Namche Bazaar.
• Day 19 : Monju

  Trek back down valley to Monju or Pakding.
• Day 20 : Lukla

  Continue Trek to Lukla airport.
• Day 21 : Kathmandu

  Fly Lukla to Kathmandu. End of Jiri to Everest base camp trek.
