Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Cochin

  Arrive in Cochin and transfer to the Fort Heritage for two nights. The rest of the day is then at leisure to relax after your flight.

• Day 2 : In Cochin

  Oftern known as the ‘ Venice of the East’ the city of Cochin has wonderfully diverse influences. Today you will view the Chinese fishing nets, tour the Dutch Palace and Synagogue in the old Jewish town and visit St. Francis church, built by the Portuguese in 1510 AD. In the evening enjoy a Kathakali dance performance.

• Day 3 : Cochin - Munnar by road 130 Kms / 04 Hrs Approx.

  Today your driver will take you into the the heart of the Cardamom Hills to the tea growing area and Hill station of Munnar ( 4 Hrs). Set at an altitude of 6000ft, Munnar is breathtakingly beautiful haven of peace and tranquility. Spend the afternoon relaxing at Tea County Hotel where you will spend two nights.

• Day 4 : In Munnar

  Day at leisure to relax at the hotel or spend time with your driver exploring the unending expanse of tea plantations and pristine valleys.

• Day 5 : Munnar - Thekkady by road 110 Kms / 04 Hrs Approx.

  This morning drive to Tehkkady (4hrs). Enjoy the enchanting journey as the road winds through tranquil countryside, rich plantations and thick jungles. In the afternoon enjoy game viewing by boat in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, declared a Tiger Rerserve in 1978 although Tiger sightings are very rare. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mulla periyar Dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. You will spend two nights at Taj Garden Retreat.

• Day 6 : In Thekkady

  Thekkady is considered a heaven for natural spices such as a cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, clove, rubber, vanilla and coffee. Enjoy the aromas of these spices with a morning walk in a spice plantation. Afternoon at leisure.

• Day 7 : Thekkady - Kumarakom by road 165 Kms 3.5 Hrs

  Travel on to Kumarakom (4hrs) and the lush backwaters of Kerala. Kumarakom is Kerala’s heartland of Lagoons with palm fringed lakes and paddy fields, inter-linked with hundreds of winding canals. Arrive at Coconut Lagoon where you will spend two nights. Afternoon is then at leisure.

  Day at leisure to relaxh at the hotel or explore the village of kumarakom and Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary on your own.

• Day 9 : Kumarakom - Alleppey (Rice Barge)

  Afternoon, embark your journey on your private traditional air-conditioned and fully staffed rice barge. Spend the day cruising the backwaters, and unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals. Watching village life unfold as you float by and spend an unforgettable night on these tranquil waterways.

  Disembark you rice barge and travel north along the coast to Mararikulam (30 mins), a delightful fishing village where you can enjoy the rest of your holiday at Marari Beach Resort, stretched out on the beautiful beach.
