Rajaji National Park was established in 1983 when 3 major wildlife sanctuaries: Chilla, Motichur and Rajaji of Uttar Pradesh were merged into one which is now famous as Rajaji National Park

• Day 1 : Rajaji National Park: Wild Life Safari

  Jungle Safari in Rishikesh, which starts from Chilla, is a definite 34-kilometre long track for wildlife Jeep Safari. Safari lasts for about 2-3 hours where the jeep takes you deep inside the jungle through some rough and rugged terrain. Rajaji National Park and Jungle Safari are famous for spots for Asian elephants, striped hyena, leopards, barking deer, Neel Gai, wild bear and so on. Some rare birds like Great Indian Hornbill, Kingfisher, Blue, Thrush, Oriental White Eyes and so on make their habitat in the Rajaji National Park.
