Kafni Glacier Trek

Package Overview

The Kafni Glacier is located in the upper reaches of the Kumaon Himalayas, to the southeast of Nanda Devi. The glacier gives rise to the Kaphni River, which is a tributary of the Pindar River. The Pinder River is a tributary to the Alaknanda River which eventually is one of the two headstreams of the Ganges. This is relatively small glacier but a popular trekking destination along with Pindari Glacier.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Kharkia

  Reporting Kharkia before noon. Package starts from Lunch. Proceed to Khati by trek (5 km.), Lunch, evening tea, dinner and night halt at Khati.

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 2 : Dwali

  Morning tea, breakfast at Khati, proceed to Dwali (11 Km. by trek), Lunch, evening tea, dinner, N/H at Dwali.

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 3 : Byali

  Morning tea, breakfast at Dwali, proceed to Byali (9 Km. by trek), Lunch evening tea, dinner, N/H at Byali.

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 4 : Dwali

  Morning tea, breakfast at Byali, Proceed to Kafni glacier and back to Dwali (12 Km. by trek), Lunch, evening tea, dinner, N/H at Dwali.

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 5 : Khati

  Morning tea, breakfast at Dwali, proceed to Khati (11 Kms by trek), Lunch, evening tea, dinner, N/H at Khati.

  • Themes : Trekking

• Day 6 : Kharkia

  Morning tea, Breakfast at Khati. (After breakfast Tour Conclude) NOTE: Groups will be picked up from a place called Kharkia and will be dropped to Kharkia after Lunch.
