Kailas Mansarovar Yatra Via Lhasa Tour

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m) and briefing on Yatra in the evening

  We will come and receive you at the airport and transfer to hotel immediately. There will be a detailed briefing on Kailash Yatra and its preparations in the evening.

• Day 2 : Fly to Lhasa (3,700m) and explore around

  We will fly to Gonggar Airport and drive to Lhasa. If time permits, explore Bharkor markets in the evening.

• Day 3 : Guided sightseeing in Lhasa

  Guided sightseeing to explore the Potala Palace, Norbulinkha and Jokhang Temple.

• Day 4 : Drive to Shigatse (3,900m)

  Drive to Shigatse and en-route visit to Yamdruk Tso Lake. If time permits, visit Tashi Lhunpo Monastery.

• Day 5 : Drive to Saga/Drongba (4,300m)

  Drive to Saga or to Drongba. We will cross Brahmapurta River on the way. Stay overnight in a hotel/guesthouse either in Saga or Drongba.

• Day 6 : Drive to holy Mansarovar Lake (4,588m)

  After breakfast, we drive to Mansarovar Lake. Today, we will have first Darshan of holy Mt. Kailash and Mansarovar Lake from Horre Pass. We will perform the Parikarma of Mansarovar Lake by tourist bus. Stay overnight in a guesthouse at Chiu Gompa.

• Day 7 : : Havana and ritual bathe at Mansarovar Lake

  Today we will perform Havana and Puja and take a ritual dip in the Mansarovar Lake. Stay overnight in the same guesthouse.

• Day 8 : Drive to Tirthapuri and onto Darchen (4,700m)

  We will drive to Tirthapuri, explore its major attractions, perform a parikarma of Tirthapuri and then, drive to Darchen. Stay overnight in a guesthouse/hotel.

• Day 9 : Parikarma starts: - Trek to Diraphuk (4,900m)

  We will drive to Tharboche, which is a very important power point in Tantrism, and then trek to Diraphuk. Stay overnight in a guesthouse at Diraphuk.

• Day 10 : Cross Dolma La Pass (5,600m) and trek to Zuthulphuk Gompa (4,850m)

  Today is the hardest of the Parikarma. So, we will start early in the morning. We will reach the Dolma La Pass after 6 hours of trek. After having darshan of Gauri Kunda near Dolma La, we will trek down to Zuthulphuk Gompa where we will stay overnight in a guesthouse.

• Day 11 : Parikarma ends: - Trek to Tangsar and drive to Drongba/Saga via Mansarovar Lake

  Trek to Tangsar and drive to Darchen where we will have a lunch. And then, drive to Drongba/Saga via Mansarovar Lake. Stay overnight in a guesthouse/hotel either in Saga or in Drongba.

• Day 12 : Drive to Shigatse

  After breakfast, we will drive to Shigatse. Stay overnight in a hotel.

• Day 13 : Drive to Lhasa

  After breakfast, we will drive to Lhasa. Stay overnight in hotel.

• Day 14 : Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

  We will drive to Gonggar Airport for the flight to Kathmandu. Free day.

• Day 15 : Pashupatinath Darshan (Havana, Puja etc

  In the morning, we will take you to the Pashupaatinath Temple for its darshan and Rudrabhishek. And then, we will also visit reclining Vishnu at Budhanilkantha. In the afternoon, we will have free time for shopping.

• Day 16 : Trip concludes (Return to home)

  will provide a private vehicle for the airport drop.
