Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu (1350m)

  After your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu (1350m), our representative from Sunny Travel will be there with your name card. He / She will welcome you with Mala and transfer you to your respective hotel. Later in the evening we shall have a briefing about Kailash and our country Nepal.

• Day 2 : Fly to Nepalgunj (150m/492ft)

  Today during the morning, we are going to visit Pashupatinath temple. This temple is a very famous and sacred Hindu temple, located on the bank of the Bagmati River. Pashupatinath temple was recognized as a UNESCO world heritage sites in 1979. After darshen, we shall drive toward to our hotel and prepare ourselves for our upcoming Yatra. Later in the afternoon we shall depart to the domestic Airport and fly to Nepalgunj by Yeti/Buddha airlines. This flight will take about 55minutes to reach our destination. Nepalgunj is a very hot place and as we arrive there we shall be transferred to the hotel.

• Day 3 : Fly to Simikot Humla (2950m/9676ft)

  We take an early morning flight to Simikot by Tara/Sita airlines. Flight will take about 55minutes to reach and land at Simikot airport. A representative from Sunny Travel will be there and transfer you to the Sun Valley Resort. Simikot is located in a mountain region and most of the people here follow Buddhism. A full day rest for acclimatization and after having your lunch you can visit Shiva Mandir.

• Day 4 : Fly to Hilsa by Helicopter and Drive to Purang (3800m/ 12464ft)

  We fly to Hilsa by helicopter; this flight will take about 20minute to reach Hilsa, once you land at Hilsa you shall cross Karnali River which is coming from Kailash region. Now we go through the immigration in China/Tibet side. These immigration formalities will take up to 30minutes and then drive continuously to Purang by bus. Purang is a small town with a beautiful landscape. You can walk around the in the evening and buy some trekking equipments etc.

• Day 5 : Drive to Holy Lake Manasarovar(4590m/15060ft)

  Today we shall drive to Lake Manasarovar by bus; it will take 2 hours to reach (55km). On the way, you will see the Rakshas Taal. We will take short break and continue our drive to lake Manasarover. Later in the afternoon we shall start Parikrama of Mansarovar- 105km and Holy Bath, Puja etc.

• Day 6 : Drive to Darchen (Kailash Base Camp) (4575m/15010ft)

  Today we drive toward to Kailash Base Camp; it takes 45minutes to reach base camp, known as Darchen. Darchen is a small town like purang. It located in the case of Holy mount Kailash and is the starting point for pilgrimage in the region. In the evening you can even explore around the town.

• Day 7 : Drive to YamaDwarand trek to Diraphuk(4920m/16137ft)

  Early morning trek, after breakfast, drive to Yama Dwar. (15km) Yama Dwar is the gateway to the parikrama of holy mount Kailash by foot. From here we can see the Kailash East/South face. From here our group will be divided into two. Parikrama group and non-Parikrama group. Parikrama group will start their trek by foot or horse. Non parikrama will drive back to Darchen by eco bus. Trekking will take about 5-6 hours to reach Diraphuk, the trail is not too hard. It might feel difficult because of the high elevation. From this point, you can see the best and closest view of Kailash.

• Day 8 : Trek to Zuthulphuk via Dolma la pass (4780m/15442ft)

  We wake up very early in the morning with the Sherpa team, after breakfast we start up hill trekking to Dolma La pass (5560m/18236ft) this pass is the highest pass and the toughest part of our trek too. After Dolma La pass, we continue our walk as a down ward to the next valley Zuthulphuk. The holiest lake Gauri Kund is situated beyond the Dolma La pass. Hindu followers believe that, Lord Shiva’s wife Parvati was used to take bath in this lake. The total trekking to Zuthulphuk requires 10 to 12 hours and you have to cover 20 to 22km by one day.

  Remarks: Trek 3 hrs and drive 4 hrs
• Day 9 : Trek to Zhongdo and drive to Purand/Hilsa (3800m/12464ft)

  Early in the morning we shall start our trek to Zhongdo. Today trekking is quite easy and flat, after 2 hours, we shall reach Zhongdo and Eco bus will pick us up. Then we shall drive continuously to Purang/Hilsa.

• Day 10 : Fly to Simikot – Nepalgunj – Kathmandu

  Early in the morning we get ready to fly by helicopter to Simikot. Flight will take about 20 minutes to reach Simikot and continue our flight to Kathmandu via Nepalgunj.

• Day 11 : Final departure

  Today is the final day of this Kailash tour. We shall drop you off at the airport for your final departure, according to your flight schedule. And lastly fly back to your sweet home.
