Package Overview

Kailash Manasarovar Yatra without trekking is special designed for senior citizens and for those who want to get ‘once in a life time’ Darshan of holy Mount Kailash and the Manasarovar Lake. It commences from Lucknow or Nepalgunj thereafter we will complete this Yatra at Hilsa via Simikot by helicopter/fixed wing aircrafts. After completing the custom formalities at Tibetan border, we will have to board our vehicle bus/land cruisers from Tibetan side to reach Taklakot and rest of our journey will be covered by road. In Taklakot (Purang) which is a tiny and beautiful unexplored place, you will have 02 nights’ stay to acclimatize yourself. Later on, we will proceed towards The Holy Manasarovar Lake to perform puja/havan. This package includes airport transfers, meals, visa/ permit, accommodating charges etc.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Reach Lucknow and drive to Nepalgunj (180 m) – 4-5 hours’ drive

  Head towards the meeting point today morning and then after meeting your group mates, head towards Nepalgunj through a drive. You can give a midway halt for some tea/coffee and then again continue with the journey. Arrive at Nepalgunj and then stay overnight at your pre-booked hotel there.

• Day 2 : Fly Nepalgunj – Simikot (2910m) – 50 minutes flight

  Today, you will be boarding a flight from Nepalgunj in order to reach Simikot. This would be a 50 minutes’ flight and also, the journey from Nepalgunj till Simikot is considered to be a complicated one since the flights here are completely dependent on the weather conditions. Your flight can be delayed if the weather in Simikot is not favourable. On your arrival at Simikot, acclimatize your body with the climatic conditions for the day. Stay overnight at your pre-booked dormitory styled accommodation in Simikot.

• Day 3 : Fly Simikot (2910m) – Hilsa (4025m) 25 minutes flying time. Drive to Taklakot – (4755m)

  Wake up early morning and then have an early breakfast today for reaching the Simikot airport on time and board a helicopter to reach Hilsa. Arrive at Hilsa and then from there walk towards the China immigration where you will be completing all the custom and immigration formalities before you walk to the border’s other side. On the other side, you will see the buses waiting to pick you up and drop you to your hotel/guesthouse/stay in Taklakot where you will have dinner and stay overnight.

• Day 4 : Taklakot – Day free to acclimatize (4025m)

  Today, wake up as per your comfort since you are free today. Acclimatize your body with the weather conditions in Taklakot thus, you have to do nothing but just stay and eat in your hotel. You can also be a part of the short treks organized by our team in order to prepare you for the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra.

• Day 5 : Drive Taklakot to Lake Manasarovar (4590m) - 90 kms / 1 ½ hour drive

  This day is highly important since you are going to have the very first Darshan of the holy Lake Mansarovar. Have some breakfast and then start your drive towards Lake Manasarovar in a bus. During the bus ride, you shall be passing amidst the mesmerizing mountains as well as the terrains and on the way, you have to stop for a visit to the Lake of Devil i.e. the Rakshastal from where you will be seeing a view of the divine Mount Kailash. Once done, drive further to reach the beautiful Chui Gompa where you will be staying in a guest house. You can either take some holy dips in the Lake Manasarovar or perform other rituals near this lake in order to spend your free time. Have some meals and then stay overnight at your accommodation there.

• Day 6 : Drive to Darchen (4025m) 35kms drive and drive to Taklakot (3-4 hours trek and 3-4 hours’ drive)

  Wake up as per your comfort today and then we will be searching for a perfect place where you can take some dips in the Lake Manasarovar. After that, participate in a short drive towards Darchen. See the Rakshastal on your way and on reaching Darchen, pass through the Yam Dwar and also have a heart stealing view of the Mount Kailash right before you start with your drive to reach Taklakot. Arrive at Taklakot and then stay overnight there.

• Day 7 : Taklakot to Nepalgunj via Simikot (Drive + Helicopter + Flight)

  Have some tasty early breakfast and then drive to reach the China-Nepal border. Complete the varied immigration formalities, cross the border and then ultimately arrive at Hilsa that lies in the Nepal side. From there, board a helicopter and reach Simikot in about 25 minutes and from Simikot board a flight to Nepalgunj in 55 minutes. Arrive at Nepalgunj and from there, drive towards Lucknow. This marks the end of your 7 days’ journey of the Kailash Yatra by Helicopter via Nepalgunj.
