Kaligandaki River Rafting is one of the most exciting rafting trips that will bring a adrenaline rush in you with its some 60 rapids within 72 km of its distance. Kaligandaki River – named after the ferocious goddess kali originates from an altitude of 3,900 m (12,795 ft) in the Mustang region of Nepal, near Tibetan highlands Tibet and flow with its great rapids through the Deepest gorge in the world formed between the Mt. Annapurna (8346m) Massif and Mt. Dhaulagiri (8046m). Kaligandaki river rafting is one of the best white water rafting in Nepal that does not demand more pre rafting experiences. The river has a total catchment area of 46,300 sq km and a notable deep gorge through which it flows by virtue of which it has proved to be a large hydroelectric power in Nepal.

Kaligandaki river rafting has its starting point in Beni. From the very day of our start the rapid in the river becomes challenging one. On the three day long adventurous activity you will encounter mostly Grade III rapid-but sometimes really exhilarating grade IV and Grade IV+ like ‘Little Brother’, ‘Big Brother’, ‘Rafters Refund’ , ‘walk in the Dark’ at the end of descends; all of which are quite a bit to toss a raft. Kaligandaki river rafting takes you to the wilderness of western Nepal providing you an opportunity for some best photographs of western Nepal filled with variety of flora and fauna and the village with friendly tribal people with their amazing culture and traditions. Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival

  Early in the morning we drive for around 3-4 hrs to the starting point near Beni. On the vary day of our start after 10 to 15 minutes you witness some class III rapid followed by 2 big class 4 rapids i.e. ‘Small Brother’ and ‘Big Brother’ after which you will reach the Modi Khola confluence where we will choose the site on beach for the evening campsite.

• Day 2 : Rafts

  Once the rafts are packed we start down the river for a day mixed with adrenaline calm and spectacular scenery including views of Annapurna I and Himchuli. We will tackle much class III and the challenging class IV named REFUND. This section of river is abundant with vines, wildlife and lush vegetation hanging from the cliff faces. We make our campsite below the village of Purti Ghat.

• Day 3 : Departure

  We continue our rafting to reach the holy village of Seti Beni. Here you can observe the river deposit – a house size boulder in the confluence with a smaller tributary. After some time of rafting we end our journey. Our bus will be waiting for us. We load up the gear and prepare for the bus journey back to Pokhara.
