Kanatal : The Abode of The Himalayas

About Kanatal is a small village in the foothills of Himalayas at a distance of 80 km from the city of Dehradun. At an elevation of 2600 meters above sea level, the campsite is surrounded by green mountains, apple orchards, green vegetation with snow laden peaks in the background. Away from the hustle of the city, this place offers a peaceful environment. One can simply relax and enjoy the nature, watch the sunrise and sunsets, go for photography and outdoor activities here.

We also offer adventure activities like Sky Bidge, Valley Crossing, Flying Fox, Sky Walk, Commando Net, Rope Ladder etc.


Places of Interest

Kanatal is one of the few hill stations that are untouched and offer you a very relax and calming feelings. It is surrunded by forests all around making the climate absolutely delightful even in the Summers, In winters Kanatal is mostly covered with snow. The biggest attraction of Kanatal is its adventure park, the parks are well built with numbeer of adventure activities that will aurely bring chistle to your Spines. If you are looking for a getaway away from the Hustle of the city, Kanatal is the Place for you.

Surkanda Devi:-This temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga, which is one of the nine Goddess forms. Surkanda Devi Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peeth. The statue of Goddess Kali is installed in the temple.It is located 6.7 kilometers from Dhanlatti. To reach this temple, people have to travel by foot 3 Kms from village Kaddukhal. This temple is about 2,757 meters high of the sea leval.The temple is surrounded by dense forest and from this place the beautiful view of the Himalayas can be seen in the north and beautiful views of the cities of Dehradun and Rishikesh can be seen in the south.

Kaudia Forest:-.A route diverts to the left after 1km from Kanatal towards Chamba. An easy trek of 5-6kms amidst dense forests will end up at vast expanse of undulating hills and valleys. Many natural springs can be seen during the trek. Kakar (the barking deer), Wild Boar Ghorals and musk deer can be seen in Kodia Jungle. It is an ideal place for bird watching and nature’s photography.

Dhanaulti–Dhanaulti is fast emerging as a leisure destination for those seeking a quiet weekend away from the maddening crowds of Mussourie. Set within lush alpine forests of Pine, Deodar, Rhododendron and Oak. The major attraction of this small hill station is its eco-park. Comprising a deodar forest, herbal garden, viewing points, trekking trails, bird watching and swings, the park has been developed by the Forest Department of Uttarakhand, in collaboration with local youth.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Dehradun to Kanatal , 80 km drive, 150 mins approx.

  Travellers will be picked from Dehradun Railway Station/Bus Stand. Kanatal is 80 km from Dehradun passing through road alongside dense forests, mountains and waterfalls.
  Allotment of the tent on arrival.
  Refreshments and brief introduction of the campsite at arrival.
  Evening nature walk/trek to the dense Kaudia forest or GOAT Village.
  Evening snacks and bonfire coupled with music.
  Dinner at the campsite.

• Day 2 : Kanatal to Dehradun, 80 km drive, 150 mins approx.

  Wake up call to witness the emphatic view of the sunrise.
  Breakfast at the campsite.
  Adventure activities like Sky walk, Sky Bridge, Valley Crossing and Zip Line.
  Site Seeing on the way to Dhanaulti, Surkhanda Devi temple etc.
  Departure from the Kanatal to Dehradun ISBT / Railway station.
