Kareri Lake is a high altitude, shallow, fresh water lake south of the Dhauladhar range approximately 9 km North West of Dharamsala in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh. Kareri surface at 2934 metres and Minkiani Pass(13944 ft) at above the sea level. Kareri lake is best known for being a trekking destination in the Snow melting from the Dhauladhar range serves as the source of the lake and a stream, Nyund is the outflow. Since the source is fresh melting snow and the lake is shallow, water visibility is very high and in most places, the lake bed can be seen. Kareri Lake is named after the nearby gaddi village of Kareri, situated 9 km south east of the lake.Kareri Lake is not connected by a road. The closest roadhead is at Ghera, a village near Dharamshala. From Ghera, a hiking trail leads to Kareri village, which is 3 km from Ghera. Another hiking trail of 13 km from Kareri leads to the lake. Most of this trail is along the Nyund stream right up to the lake.
We will encounter loads of snowy patches during our trek.

After our 1st night Camping during the last leg of the journey it will be an mix of icy patch.
Third day of the trek will be long and tiresome.
Don't carry extra weight Ideal weight of your backpack should be 57 kgs as every member have to carry their fellow Sleeping bags(1.7) kgs
Starting from Delhi by Deluxe bus/Tempo Traveler till Dhramshala
Reaching Dhramshala by early morning will board a taxi till the last motorable point-Ghera Village.Freshen up followed by breakfast. after that will start our trek to Meadows Camp Night Stay.
Early Morning Breakfast will start our second leg of journey towards Kareri Lake ,Camp Night stay at Kareri lake.
Lazy Morning Breakfast will start our final descend till last motorable point freshen up and off to Mcloedganj for little shoping, board bus for our return journey to Delhi.
Reaching Delhi Early Morning by 7 am.
