Pick up from Airport/Hotel in Leh and drive to Kargil (6 hours)
Enroute visit Gurudwara Pather Sahib, Magnetic Hill
Visit Lamayuru Monastery and Moonland, Buddha Chamba in Mulbekh and Sergole cave monastery
Arrive in Kargil by evening and check into hotel
Evening for Leisure. Munshi Aziz Bhat Museum located in the town and Plateau Nath Baba Mandir can be visited in the evening
Early morning leave from Kargil towards Rangdum (6 hours)
Enroute visit the historic village of Kartse Khar to witness the 7th Century Rock cut Maetriya Budhha statue
Witness the Highest peak of Ladakh, Mt Nun (7135m) in Damsna
Visit Trespone Imabara, and Parkachik glacier
Reach Rangdum by evening and check into fixed camp/guest house
After an early breakfast, visit Rangdum Monastery
Continue journey towards Padum (Zanskar) (5 hours)
Enroute visit the Twin Lakes at Penzila top
Witness the famous Drang Drung glacier
Visit Sani Monastery eroute
Arrive in Padum by evening and check into hotel
Rest and acclimatize
After breakfast, visit some of the most popular sites in Zanskar
Visit Karsha village and Monastery, Zangla Fort and village, Shila waterfall
If time permits more monasteries like Bardan and Stongday can be visited
Return to hotel by evening and rest
Evening is for leisure
Return to Kargil from Padum (10 hours)
Check into hotel and rest
About Drass Valley: Also known as the Second Coldest Inhabited Place in the World, Drass has its unique identity, inhabited by the “Shina” tribe. Said to have come from Gilgit (now in Pakistan), their culture is yet unexplored. Drass offers dramatic landscapes, snow capped peaks, spiritual sites and memories of the victory of Kargil War in 1999.
After breakfast, take a day trip to Drass valley
Enroute visit Hundurman Border village situated at the LoC
Another option is to do rafting in Drass river (total 2 hours)
Continue to Drass and visit Kargil War Memorial to pay homage to our War Heroes
Visit the spiritual sites of Dropadi Kund and Bhimbat stone
Return to Kargil by evening
About Aryan Valley: Inhibited by the “Brokpa” tribe who consider themselves to be the lost army of Alexander the Great, this unique tribe is settled along the Indus river. Recently opened for tourists, there is much to explore and discover about this hidden Himalayan valley.
After breakfast, take a day trip to Aryan Valley
Enroute visit the 2nd of the three Maetriya Buddha statues in Apati village
Visit Shashi Lake
Arrive in Aryan valley for lunch
Lunch will be offered along with a private cultural dance performance by the local community
After Lunch continue journey towards Leh
Arrive in Leh by evening and check into hotel
