Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Mumbai - Mysore

    Arrive in Mumbai and straight away travel to Mysore, the first destination in the Karnataka ancient tour. On arrival in the city, check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 2 : Mysore

    For the next 2 days, that is on day 2 and day 3 you will specifically travel in and around the enchanting destination, Mysore. Known as the home to the classic Vrindavan Gardens, Mysore also houses the famous Mysore Palace, the home to the royal family of the city. The Vrindavan Gardens with its bubbling fountains and the elaborate Mysore Palace; nothing could jump start your Karnataka tour as interestingly as these places will.

  • Day 3 : Mysore

    Embark on short excursions from Mysore on the 3rd day to Srirangapatna and Somnathpur. While the former is known as the summer capital of Tipu Sultan, the latter is known for its exotic temples. The foremost one to name here is the Kesava temple.

  • Day 4 : Mysore - Chikmagalur

    The next destination after Mysore that the trail will head towards is Chikmagalur. Noted for its sprawling coffee plantations, Chikmagalur is also famous for the temples of Angadi and Belavadi. On the Karnataka ancient tour, you will get 2 days to explore this captivating land and its attractions.

  • Day 5 : Mysore - Chikmagalur

    The next destination after Mysore that the trail will head towards is Chikmagalur. Noted for its sprawling coffee plantations, Chikmagalur is also famous for the temples of Angadi and Belavadi. On the Karnataka ancient tour, you will get 2 days to explore this captivating land and its attractions.

  • Day 6 : Chikmagalur - Hospet

    On the 6th day of the tour, leave Chikmagalur for Hospet. The drive will take about 6 hours to reach you till Hospet. Therefore to break the monotony of the trip and to rest your weary souls, check into the hotel and surrender yourself to its cozy comforts.

  • Day 7 : Hampi

    Visit the ruins of Hampi that is located at a distance of about 14 km from Hospet.
    Located within the ruins of the Vijayanagara kingdom, Hampi is a world heritage site recognized by the UNESCO. The earliest mention of this place can be traced to the age of Ramayana when it was a kingdom of the monkeys and known as Kishkindha. Hampi houses a number of ancient rock cut monuments that exhibit great talents of the artists of that era. The fine carvings in the monuments directly highlight the painstaking efforts of the artisans and the rulers who patronized ancient temple art and architecture to flourish under their rule. Visit the Virupaksha temple that is a sacred place even today for the Hindus and the Vithala temple that is most famous for its musical pillars. Overnight stay in the hotel in Hospet.

  • Day 8 : Hampi

    Visit the ruins of Hampi that is located at a distance of about 14 km from Hospet.

  • Day 9 : Hospet - Badami

    From Hospet, the next destination that you will head towards is Badami. Located about 150 km from Hospet, Badami is a living testimony of an ancient flourishing city. Earlier known as Vatapi, Badami offers some very thrilling rock climbing opportunities. Travel around this city for the next two days and stay overnight in the hotel that has been pre- arranged for you.

  • Day 10 : Badami

    Explore through the length and breadth of Badami on the tenth day of the Karnataka ancient tour. Once a capital of the Chalukya kingdom, Badami is still visited for housing rock cut temples and the Badami Fort. Belonging to that era, the temples and the ancient Buddhist caves still resonate with tales of the era gone by. From Badami, you can also embark on excursions to Aihole and Pattadakal. Goa is popular for a number of reasons - its culture, its cuisine, its architectural heritage, its beaches, and also for its adventure activities. Therefore, for the next 3 days, do make it a point to explore every element that the city has to offer.
    The old Goa area is rich in its cultural heritage. Some of the most visited tourist attractions in the city arte housed here. The most remarkable ones to name here include the Basilica of Bom Jesus, the Church of St. Francis of Asisisi, and the Church of S. Caetano.
    The rest of the attractions that you can visit while here include the beaches - the Calangute beach, the Baga beach, and the Palolem beach.
    While on tours across the city, you can also take part in the adventure activities like parasailing, jet-skiing, windsurfing, catamaran sailing- the list in this variety is endless. What else?
