Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Bangalore Arrival - Mysore (140kms/4hrs)

  On arrival at Bangalore airport you will be received by our company representative holding a placard and he shall introduce you to our company driver. Then you will be transferred to Mysore which is a lovely historical town of Karnataka with a rich culture. On reaching Mysore, check into the hotel and relax for the day. • Day 2 : Mysore

  Join a local guide for a day of sightseeing around Mysore covering the famous flower markets, Mysore Palace and Chamundi Hill temple. Mysore is one of the most historic and atmospheric cities in the south of India and is a great place to start your Karnataka to Kerala tour. The narrow lanes and alleys of the old city are well worth exploring and reveal a host of unexpected delights- incense shops, small local chai stalls and fascinating architecture. An added bonus is that on Sundays the 97000 lights which adorn the Mysore Palace are switched on for half an hour in the early evening. This is an unmissable sight! • Day 3 : Mysore - Ooty (160kms/4hrs)

  Ooty drive through the lush hills of the Western Ghats and the Nilgiri Hills around Ooty. While the historic Ooty hill station is a bit faded these days, there are still plenty of reasons to visit the region with its spectacular scenery and the chance to ride the famous Nilgiri Mountain Railway. • Day 4 : Ooty

  Next day of your Karnataka to Kerala tour, A full day to enjoy Ooty and the surrounding district plus the towns of Coonoor and Wellington. Start the sightseeing tour visiting Ooty lake where you have the option for boating, Shooting Point, Dolphin's Nose, Lambs Rock, etc. In the end visit the beautiful Botanical Garden and spend the time there till evening. Later you will be dropped back at the resort. Overnight stay at Ooty Lymond House / Savoy Hotel.

• Day 5 : Ooty - Coonoor - Cochin (280kms/7hrs)

  You'll catch the morning train on the mountain railway to Coonoor (your driver will reach Coonoor and wait for you there) and then continue on to Cochin. the most historic city in Kerala and its most significant port for over 500 years; you will stay in the Fort Cochin area adjacent to the fishing nets, fish and spice markets and many other places of interest. • Day 6 : Cochin

  Spend the day around Cochin and Mattenchery with a guide; you'll be able to learn a great deal about the various cultural influences which have forged modern Cochin- Arab, Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch and British traders and merchants all interacted with the local population to create this unique mélange of a city. In the afternoon take a cruise on Cochin harbour and in the evening attend a performance of Kathakali- the famous dance/drama of Kerala. Overnight in Fort Cochin at Tower House /Old Courtyard.

• Day 7 : Cochin - Munnar (140kms/4hrs)

  After breakfast proceed to Munnar - the enchanting height hills of Kerala - Full of fresh and green tea plantations and Nature temptations. 3 1/2 hours drive en route covering many scenic spots and waterfalls check into Forest Heaven. Afternoon at leisure to move around covering Mattupetty dam and visit Rajamalai. Overnight in Munnar Olive Brook / T & U Leisure.
• Day 8 : Munnar

  Morning in Munnar to visit the tea museum - there is also an interesting National Park, Eravikulam, which is home to the rare Nilgiri Thar (mountain goat) which can be visited while you're in Munnar. Overnight stay at Munnar Olive Brook / T & U Leisure during your Karnataka and Kerala Tour.
• Day 9 : Munnar - Periyar (130kms/4hrs)

  Post breakfast, you'll head up into the hills of the Western Ghats and the cooler mountain air of Periyar. Later in the afternoon you'll be able to experience the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in one of a number of ways- there is a very popular Nature Walk (far from an arduous trek) which offers great chances to see many small mammals and some of the vast array of bird species which live in the park. • Day 10 : Periyar

  Today other options include a bamboo-rafting trip on Periyar Lake or the famous boat ride on the Lake although this is no longer regarded as the best way to see wildlife here. Or there are more activities including a spice farm tour or the very popular 'elephant interaction' experience, where you can feed and bathe and elephant and talk to the mahout about the joys (and trials!) of looking after a 4-tonne animal. Overnight stay at Periyar Spice Village / Elephant Court in the Karnataka and Kerala Tour.
• Day 11 : Periyar - Alleppey (160kms/5hrs)

  Depart from Periyar to Alleppey the famous backwater in Kerala to board your private houseboat at noon. Once on board you'll be able to enjoy one of the quintessential experiences of Kerala- a serene afternoon cruise through the backwaters with all meals prepared freshly on board by your crew. The boat will moor for the night at dusk. Overnight on the Houseboat.
• Day 12 : Alleppey - Kovalam (170kms/4hrs)

  Breakfast on board the houseboat, and disembark at Alleppey around 9.30am. Your driver will meet you here and you'll head up to Kovalam. Overnight at Kovalam Uday Samudra / Sagara Beach Resort.

• Day 13 : Kovalam

  After breakfast sightseeing tour in Trivandrum city - visit the Zoological Park, Napier Museum, Sri Chithira Art Gallery and the famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple, also do shopping there. Back to Kovalam and evening relax in the beach. Overnight stay at Kovalam Uday Samudra / Sagara Beach Resort
• Day 14 : Kovalam - Trivandrum Departure (20kms/20mins)

  You will transferred to Trivandrum airport for your onward journey.
