Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival at Srinagar

  On your arrival to Srinagar ,our representative will welcome and guide you to a houseboat. Enjoy a shikara ride to the houseboat. Set out for a shikara cruise on Dal Lake in the evening, thereafter relax at houseboat.
  Overnight in Srinagar.

• Day 2 : Srinagar

  After breakfast proceed for half day city tour; visit the Mughal gardens- Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh; also visit Chasmashahi and Pari Mahal. Opportunity to visit Shankaracharya Temple atop the hill called Takht-e-Suleiman, a 5 km climb from Nehru Park on a metaled road. Across the city is another, much lower hill crowned by the Hari Parbat Fort. Emperor Akbar built the low wall enclosing the upper part of the hill. You can visit the temple of goddess Sharika, the shrine of Muslim saint Makhdoorn Sahib, and the historic Sikh Gurudwara Chatti Padshahi.
  You'll be at leisure in the evening. Overnight in Srinagar

  • Hotspots Hari Parbat Fort, Shankaracharya Temple
• Day 3 : Srinagar-Pahalgam (95kms; 3hrs drive approx.)

  After breakfast at houseboat, you will be driven to Pahalgam; en route visit Saffron fields ('kesar') and Avantipura ruins.
  Kashmiri saffron is considered the world's best saffron for its distinctive long, flat, silky threads with a dark red color, extraordinary aroma, powerful coloring and flavoring capabilities.
  
  Awantipura is a small town situated on the right riverbanks of Jhelum and just between the Srinagar to Pahalgam road. It is placed at a distance of about 30 kms from the main city of Srinagar in Kashmir.
  
  Upon arrival Pahalgam, you will check in at a hotel and munch onto eateries; thereafter you will enjoy pony ride (on your own expenses) or walk to the famous mini-Switzerland. Capture photos of your own and store it as your memorabilia.
  
  Return to the hotel, post sunset and relax. Overnight in Pahalgam
• Day 4 : Pahalgam-Gulmarg (152kms; 5hrs drive approx.)

  After breakfast drive to Gulmarg; check in at a hotel on arrival and relax. Overnight in Gulmarg.
• Day 5 : Gulmarg-Srinagar (55kms; 1.5hrs drive approx.)

  After breakfast you will enjoy Gondola (cable car) Ride in Gulmarg; indulge yourself in adventure activities (on your own expenses) or unwind yourself in the lap of nature. 
  Gulmarg Gondola is the world's second highest operating cable car since the closure in 2008 of the Merida cable car in Venezuela. Gulmarg boasts Asia's highest and longest cable car project, the Gulmarg Gondola. The two-stage ropeway ferries about 600 people per hour to and from Kongdoori Mountain, a shoulder of nearby Afarwat Peak (4,200m/13,780ft).
  Later in afternoon drive back to Srinagar and check in at a hotel and relax. Overnight in Srinagar.
• Day 6 : Srinagar-Sonamarg-Srinagar (day excursion: 80kms; 2hrs drive approx. One way) 

  After breakfast you will proceed for a day excursion trip to Sonamarg.
  Sonamarg is situated at a height of 2740 m is a small and beautiful hill resort. Sonamarg literally means the 'Meadow of Gold' and is known so due to the flowers that wraps the meadow in the spring. Sonamarg is the last major point in the Kashmir before the Zoji La pass into Ladakh. At the pass, the green and lush Kashmiri landscape changes to the barren and dry landscape of Ladakh. The drive to Sonamarg is through the Sindh.
  Sonamarg is the main base for the treks that passes along several mountain lakes like the Vishansar, Kishansar, Gadsar, Satsar and Gangabal. Sonamarg is also a base for undertaking Amarnath yatra. The Sindh River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahaseer. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier,in summer months. The best time to visit Sonamarg is from April to June.
  Overnight in Srinagar.

• Day 7 : Srinagar Departure

  After breakfast you are at leisure; later at noon check out hotel and transfer to airport to board flight; henceforth your journey ends with sweet memories.
