Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Srinagar

  On Arrival get transferred, Check into houseboat. After freshening up enjoy shikara ride at Dal Lake the back bone of Kashmir Tourism sailing through the floating market, enchanting views of crusing shikaras, huge snow-capped mountains, glorious sunset are certain to leave you spell bound.

• Day 2 : Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar (110 kms

  Excursion to Gulmarg. A day full of adventure and sports activities, Gulmarg is India’s skiing capital and home to one of the best skiing ground. Apart from skiing a few more to opt from are snowboarding, snowmobiling, ATV rides & trekking. Enjoy the Gondola ride (world’s highest cable car) accessible in 02 Phases, 8500ft and 1250ft. Gulmarg has an 18 holes Golf course one of the largest. One can also opt for an Outer circle walk around Gulmarg offering a panoramic view of mountains covered by Alpine trees. • Day 3 : Srinagar-Sonamarg (80 kms)

  Checkout and head to Sonamarg, enjoy beautiful drive to Sonamarg (meadow of gold) also known as ‘Gateway to Ladakh’. Visit Thajiwas Glacier which is one of the most enchanting tourist places of Kashmir standing at altitude of approx. 9200 ft. Access to glacier is either by feet or on horse back. After that an option to explore white water rafting. Overnight in Sonamarg.

• Day 4 : Sonamarg - Uletokpo (274 kms)

  Checkout and head to Uletokpo, passing through the Zojila Pass take a halt at Kargil War Memorial at Drass. Thereafter visit Mulbek and Lamayuru monastery, one of the oldest in Ladakh region. In Uletokpo one may visit Rizong monastery which is at a distance of 2.5kms oneway to be covered by foot. Uletokpo has one of the best camping sites in Ladakh. Overnight in Uletokpo.

• Day 5 : Uletokpo - Leh (81 kms)

  Checkout and head towards Leh en-route short halts at three monasteries- Alchi monastery (only monastery in Ladakh on flat ground), Likir monastery, located near bank of river Indus is a house to 75 feet tall statue of golden Maitreya Buddha, followed by a visit to Spituk monastery. Further visit Magnetic hill (gravity defiance point), Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and Leh Hall of Fame (Kargil War memorabilia). Overnight in Leh.

• Day 6 : Leh

  After breakfast visit to Leh Palace, built in 17th century the palace shows panoramic view of Leh city. Then proceed to Shanti Stupa, a white domed stupa constructed by Japanese and Ladakh Buddhists in 1991, followed by Sankar Gompa also known as Sankar monastery located in northern part of city. Overnight in Leh.

• Day 7 : Leh Monastries

  Day excursion to famous monasteries in Leh, leave early in morning to witness ‘praying ceremony’ at Thiksey monastery. Then visit one of the biggest monasteries of Leh “Hemis”, while returning visit Shey Palace, built in 1655 the palace is now ruined, but one can enjoy soothing view from top of palace. Overnight in Leh.

• Day 8 : Leh - Khardungla pass - Leh (80 kms)

  Day excursion to Khardungla pass, also known as gateway to Nubra and Shyok valleys in the Ladakh region, the world’s highest motrable pass in the world at 5600 metres. Enjoy spectacular beauty of snow-capped mountains while sipping tea or having soup at Khardungla pass. Return to Leh, evening enjoy leisure walk at Leh market. Overnight at hotel.

  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys

• Day 9 : Departure

  After breakfast, your Kashmir Leh tour package ends as we drop you to Leh airport.
