Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Srinagar

  You will be transferred to Srinagar from Jammu. Overnight stay at Hotel or Houseboat.

  On this day, you will explore the local sightseeing of Srinagar. Top spots include Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. The gardens will offer you a magnificent view of the Dal Lake and Zabarwan Mountains. On the way, you will visit a carpet weaving factory in old Srinagar. Upon return, dinner arrangement in your accommodation.

• Day 3 : Travel to Sonmarg

  It includes a full-day excursion to Sonmarg, located 2690 metres above sea level. You will witness the scenic beauty of various spots on your way. You may also decide to visit Thajiwas Glacier on horseback. Upon return, overnight stay at your accommodation.

  The itinerary includes a full-day excursion to Gulmarg. The place is rightly named the Meadow of Flowers as you can witness different variants of flowers here. You can also visit the famous 18-hole Golf Course and participate in skiing. Overnight stay at a hotel in Gulmarg.

  This day includes an early morning road transfer from Gulmarg to Pahalgam. Visit the vast Saffron Plantations, offering a one of a kind experience in Kashmir. The route also includes Avantipura Ruins. Upon arrival, overnight stay at Pahalgam Hotel.

How To Reach Kashmir From Kolkata

• You can avail multiple modes of transport to reach Kashmir Valley. The largest city in this region is Srinagar, which also has an International Airport.
• By Air:
• The nearest airport in Kashmir is Sheikh Ul Alam International Airport. It is connected to many Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore. From Kolkata, you can find direct flights regularly.
• By Rail:
• Though Srinagar has a railway station of its own, it is detached from the main railway line connecting other parts of India. If you plan to visit Kashmir by train, you have to alight at Jammu Tawi Station. It is nearly 300 Kilometres far from Srinagar and is connected to Kolkata through various daily and weekly train services.
• By Road:
• Kashmir is well-connected with the other parts of India by road. The National Highways 1 and 44 are the two major Highways running up to Kashmir. The Jawahar Tunnel is an important roadway tunnel connecting Kashmir Valley with Jammu.
