Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Srinagar

  Arrive in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar, situated 5200 feet above sea level on the banks of River Jhelum. Srinagar is famous for the beautiful Dal Lake, House boat Stays, & Gardens. Our representative/chauffeur will greet you at the airport and take you to your houseboat where you will check in for a 2 night stay. Enjoy the rest of the day on the houseboat. As part of your package you can enjoy a Shikara ride by sun set - one of the most romantic settings in Kashmir. You can also explore the floating markets on the Dal Lake and go up to Char Chinar – an island on the lake marked with the presence of Chinar Trees. After spending the evening on the Shikara you will return to your houseboat where you will be served a delicious meal.

• Day 2 : Srinagar - Sonmarg - Srinagar

  Wake up to a beautiful day on the Dal Lake. Try and see the sun rising while you have a healthy breakfast on the house boat. After breakfast proceed for a day's excursion to Sonmarg located 9200 feet above sea level. It will take about 3 hours covering 87 kms to reach Sonmarg. Known as The Meadow of Gold, Sonmarg is famous for the picturesque views of snowy mountains and green pastures – a perfect setting for a family picnic. Keep your camera handy to get some beautiful shots of the snow capped mountains. You can enjoy a trip to Thajiwas glacier if you like. Return to Srinagar in the evening to have dinner on the houseboat.

• Day 3 : Srinagar - Gulmarg

  After a leisurely breakfast you will proceed to Gulmarg situated 8825 feet above sea level. The drive is approximately 2 hours covering a distance of 52 kms from Srinagar. On reaching Gulmarg, head straight to your hotel where you will check in. Also known as The Meadow of Flowers, Gulmarg is popular for Skiing and the internationally famous Gondola Ride. Reaching 12,959 feet through the Gondola Ride is a must for anyone visiting Kashmir. The panoramic view of the snow covered mountains & glaciers will overwhelm you and you will treasure the sight all your life. After the Gondola Ride, walk around the bowl clicking pictures in the snow. A church at the centre and a temple on the edge are a must see in Gulmarg. Later in the evening you will be served hot food in your hotel.

• Day 4 : Gulmarg - Pahalgam

  Have a good breakfast & check out of your hotel in Gulmarg to depart for Pahalgam, located 7200 feet above sea level. Pahalgam is situated on the banks of the River Lidder and is famous for Bollywood Movie shoots. It is also the base and the starting point for Amarnath Yatra. The drive to Pahalgam will take about 3 hours covering 87 kms passing through the Saffron fields of Pampore. Enroute you can stop by at the Avantipur ruins, an ancient Vishnu Temple & the Cricket Bat Factories and get some great photographs. On reaching Pahalgam, you will check in at your hotel. Later in the evening you can stroll around the local markets & the gardens of Pahalgam. Dinner will be served at the hotel.
• Day 5 : In Pahalgam

  Wake up in Pahalgam at enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel. Today you have the day to yourself We recommend an excursion of the renowned Chandanwari and Betaab valley. You can go on a pony on these excursions. Carry a picnic basket if possible. Return back to your hotel in the evening. Enjoy the surroundings of Pahalgam on foot. Dinner will be served at your hotel.

• Day 6 : Pahalgam - Srinagar

  Post breakfast at your hotel, you will check out and depart for Srinagar which will take about 3 hours.Check in at your hotel in Srinagar and later leave for a half day sightseeing tour of Srinagar visiting the Shankracharya temple, the Mughal Gardens (Chasme Shahi, Nishat and Shalimar) followed by some shopping of souvenirs at the Boulevard. You can pick up the local Kashmiri/Pashmina shawls, saffron, walnut wood carvings etc for your loved ones back home. We will have dinner ready for you at the hotel at night.
• Day 7 : Depart Srinagar

  Your last morning in Kashmir, we recommend an early morning walk to see the city waking up. You can laze till departure time, then head to the airport to return home.
