Jammu and Kashmir is a Union Territory in northern India, often denoted by the acronym J&K. It is located mostly in the Himalayan mountains, and shares borders with the states of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab to the south.Jammu and Kashmir is home to several valleys such as the Kashmir Valley, Tawi Valley, Chenab Valley, Poonch Valley, Sind Valley and Lidder Valley.The Jhelum River is the only major Himalayan river which flows through the Kashmir valley. The Indus, Tawi, Ravi and Chenab are the major rivers flowing through the state. Jammu and Kashmir is home to several Himalayan glaciers The climate of Jammu and Kashmir varies greatly owing to its rugged topography. In the south around Jammu, the climate is typically monsoonal, though the region is sufficiently far west to average 40 to 50 mm (1.6 to 2 inches) of rain per month between January and March. In the hot season, Jammu city is very hot and can reach up to 40 °C (104 °F) whilst in July and August, very heavy though erratic rainfall occurs with monthly extremes of up to 650 millimeters (25.5 inches). In September, rainfall declines, and by October conditions are hot but extremely dry, with minimal rainfall and temperatures of around 29 °C (84 °F).
Day 1 : Pick up from Srinagar Airport
Our service starts with your arrival at Srinagar Airport and transfers you to Srinagar Houseboat (Srinagar is also known as “PARADISE ON EARTH”). After having rest in the houseboat for an hour. You can go to see vegetable and floating market in Dal Lake known for its beautiful Kashmir Handicrafts, unique in the World.
Overnight stay in Houseboat.
Day 2 : Srinagar – Sonamarg – Srinagar (84 Kms & 3 Hrs. Drive One Way)
After Breakfast, Full day Excursion tour to Sonamarg, which means ‘Meadow of Gold’, has, as its backdrop snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. According to the legend, somewhere in the valley, there is a well whose water turns any substance into gold. This is something means “Meadow of Gold’’.
Sonamarg lies in Sindh valley stream with flowers and surrounded by ountains. Sonamarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan lakes. Enjoy horse riding up to Thajiwas glacier and sledge riding on snow. Laterreturn to Srinagar.Dinner and overnight stay in Srinagar Hotel.
Day 3 : Srinagar – Doodh Pathri – Srinagar
After breakfast proceed to doodh pathri.from Srinagar to dood hpathri 50 kms , one of the most beautiful hill resort with lush green meadows. Best picnic spot on the bank of the stream surrounded by thick forest, it is quite and charming and refreshing spot. Dodhpathri is also base camp for many treks. A flowing river resounds with soft wind passing through the pine trees of the enclosures of the valley. It is also called as a "VALLEY OF MILK" because it produces rich milk in a large quantity. It is said that the cattle grazing in the meadows of Doode e Pather. produces rich milk in large quantity , this reason it is called the "valley of milk" Doodh e Pather. The shepherds from different areas travel to this place along with their cattle's and back to Srinagar.Dinner and Overnight stay in Srinagar Hotel.
Day 4 : Srinagar – Yusmarg – Srinagar (2 hrs 55.6 km)
After Breakfast, proceed for an excursion tour to Yusmarg. Yusmarg is a small meadow set in the heart of mountains to the south-west of Srinagar. It is an ideal picnic spot and the Nilnag Lake can be visited fromhere. A two hour drive from Srinagar (47 kms ) will take you to acres upon acres of grassy meadow ringed by forests of pine, and towering beyond them, awesome and majestic snow clad mountains. Laterreturn to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay in Srinagar Hotel.
Day 5 : Srinagar -Gulmarg (54 Kms & 2 Hrs One Way)
After Breakfast. Check out from Hotel and Transfer to Gulmarg. Gulmarg -At an amazing altitude of 2730 meters above sea level the hill resort has a gently sloping topography. Gulmarg is 57 km southwest from
the capital city of Srinagar. The gorgeous hill resort of Gulmarg is dotted with sites of interest for the tourists. Khilanmarg is the spot for skiing in winters. You must enjoy the views of the Kashmir valley and the
Himalayan range from Khilanmarg. It takes a couple of hours by pony, to reach Khilanmarg as it is slightly longer on foot.Dinner and overnight stay in Gulmarg Hotel.
Day 6 : Gulmarg- Pahalgam (3 hrs & 43 min 137 km)
After Breakfast, drive to Pahalgam, Pahalgam Situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from Sheshnag Lake and the Lidder River, Pahalgam (2,130 m) was once a humble shepherd’s village with breathtaking views. Enroute visiting Saffron fields, Awantipur ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), see the beautiful countryside on the way and lot of rice fields. Drive through pine forests. Arrive Pahalgam and transfer to hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay in Pahalgam Hotel.
Day 7 : Pahalgam
After breakfast proceed to Aru alley, Chandan valley, Betab valley at your own cost. Dinner and Overnight stay in Pahalgam Hotel.
Day 8 : Srinagar local Sightseeing
After Breakfast, Check out and Go to Factory Shop for Shopping . Later Shikara Ride:- (2 Hours) which includes (i) Nehru Park (ii) bathing Boat (iii) Lotus Lake (iv) Char Chinari. Also visit Mughal Gardens, visiting
Nishat Garden (Adobe of Pleasure). Built by Asif Khan Brother-in-law of Emperor Jehangir in 1632 AD and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountain in the background. The distance from Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 to 15 kms respectively. Enroute visit carpet weaving Factory. Later check into the Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Srinagar Day
Day 9 : Day 9: Srinagar Airport
After breakfast, check out from Hotel and take a transfer to your onward journey with sweet and unforgettable memories.
