Kathmandu - Chitwan - Pokhara - Nagarkot ( Eco Village Tours)

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Kathmandu Arrival

  Arrive Kathmandu. Meet our representative and transfer to hotel. Check in to the hotel. Depart for the sightseeing tour of visit Swoyambhunath famously known as the Monkey’s Temple which was founded about 2000 yrs ago. It is situated on top of the hill overlooking the Kathmandu valley. After lunch, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Major attractions here are the Kumari Temple, Hanumandhoka its vicinity and other artistic and very old temples. The area is also another very good location to take photographs and even to buy souvenirs to take back home. Overnight in Kathmandu or similar.

• Day 2 : Kathmandu to Chitwan

  Breakfast at hotel. Check out hotel and transfer to Chitwan by tourist coach. Though not even 150 Kms away from Kathmandu it takes about 4 hrs to reach Chitwan. No wonder the 4 hrs journey will be as memorable as anything driving right next to the banks of Trishuli River which is very famous for rafting and not to miss out the charming pastoral scenery on the way. Upon reaching Chitwan, check in to the hotel. Lunch inside the resort. After lunch, take a short briefing about the jungle and the activities. Then proceed for Elephant riding. In the evening we have traditional Tharu Stick Dance. Dinner and overnight in Chitwan.

• Day 3 : Full day jungle activities in Chitwan

  Enjoy the full day jungle safari activities including boating, elephant ride and Jeep drive to the Jungle. Know more about elephants while watching them take bath. One of the best ways to view the flora and fauna of Chitwan is from elephant back enabling you to penetrate deep into the jungle through tall grasslands. Enjoy the canoe ride watching the crocodiles, birds, variety of fishes and wild animals over Rapti River. The trip is a paradise for birdwatchers with possible spotting of kingfishers, ospreys, and egrets.
• Day 4 : Chitwan to Pokhara

  Wake up early in the morning and go for remaining Jungle activities. We then eat breakfast and still continue with the jungle activities. Have lunch at the hotel and depart for Pokhara. Arrive and check into hotel and rest of the time at own leisure for individual activities. Stroll around the lakeside area to look around the beautiful sceneries of lake being shadowed by the Himalayas. Dinner and overnight in Pokhara.

• Day 5 : Full day activities at Pokhara

  Wake up early in the morning for the transfer to Sarangkot which is high on top of the hills. If weather permits we have a beautiful view of the Annapurna mountain ranges with noted names like Mt. Fishtail, Mr. Ganesh etc. The chance to view the mountains with the sunrise right over it is overwhelming. At about 0730 hrs we leave Sarangkot to reach Bindebasini Temple (a Hindu temple). Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we have an option to either stroll around the lakeside or take a short hike to nearby villages to see the local people do with their daily life and take photographs. Chinese Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we go for boating at the Fewa Lake reaching a small piece of land in the center of the Lake where reside the famous temple of Barahi. Rest of the time at own leisure for shopping around the lakeside or just lazing yourself. Dinner and overnight in Pokhara.

• Day 6 : Drive to Nagarkot via Kathmandu

  Breakfast at hotel. After breakfast check out hotel and transfer back to Kathmandu via the same route enjoying the pastoral sceneries on the way and remembering the Pokhara valley. We stop at a local Highway Restaurant for a tea break. Continuing the journey we stop enroute for lunch. We transfer to Nagarkot situated on top of the hill and check into hotel. Evening have a panoramic view of the sunset and relax yourself. Dinner and overnight in Nagarkot.

• Day 7 : Return to Kathmandu after enjoying trip to Nagarkot

  Wake up early in the morning to see the magnificent view of the sunrise in the Everest Himalayan ranges. If weather permits we will even be able to see the birds eye view of the Mt. Everest. Breakfast at the hotel. Check out hotel and go for city tour of Bhaktapur formerly known as Bhadgaon. Bhaktapur is the oldest historical city of the country. Major attractions here are the 55 window palace, Dance platform, Golden Gate, House of Malla Prince, Nyatapola Temple, Shiva temple etc. Lunch enroute. Then proceed to visit Boudhanath. Boudhanath is a Buddhist temple and one of the world heritage sites. It is also considered as one of the largest stupa in the world and a center for Tibetan school of Buddhism. In the evening, transfer to Thamel, the place popularly known for the shopping of various Nepali handicrafts and Souvenirs. Enjoy the free time for shopping and other individual activities. In the evening, enjoy the authentic Nepali cuisine with traditional cultural dance. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at Soaltee Crown Plaza or similar.

• Day 8 : Departure

  Breakfast at hotel. Check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
