Kedar Kantha Which is located in Uttarkashi district of Garhwal, Uttarakhand India, is one of the most beautiful trek in Uttarakhand, this is mostly a winter trek which allows adventurers to walk through snow covered mountains with musical sound of streams, dense forest of Pine and Oak from some relaxing meadows to streams crossings, you’ll find a delighting pure nature and pleasing scenes all around all through your walk. Although it’s called a winter trek but is equally enjoyable all 12 months. You’ll come to see Swargarohini and Bandar poonch peaks during this 23 km journey.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Sankri Base-Camp

  Your trip starts with Sankri which is the base camp of Kedarkantha trek, this is 180km (7-8 hours) drive from Dehradun railway station. You’ll be staying here in guest house or a home stay with a delicious dinner.
  In your drive to Sankri you’ll be seeing towns like Mussorie, Campty Fall, Naugaon, Purola and Mori along with Tons river half of your way.
  A pick up can be arranged from Dehradun to Sankri with a little extra cost

  • Themes Hill Stations & Valleys
• Day 2 : Juda ka Talab

  After a filling breakfast this day goes to Juda ka Talab from Sankri on a good wide trail seeing Oak forests and streams. This offers you an altitude of 9100 ft in your mesmerizing 4 km of walk. Then an evening tea will be served with snacks and an overnight stay with a delicious dinner.

• Day 3 : Kedarkantha base camp

  You’ll be reaching Kedarkantha base camp this day which is at 11250 ft of elevation in just next 4 Km of trekking. We will start going up after breakfast where you are gonna find Pine and Oak forests and Majestic Views of Swargarohini, Bandar Poonch and Kaala Naag Peaks.
  Your tents are ready Have your tea and snacks. Shortly Dinner will be ready, enjoy the view, see the purity Nature, and Feel the Divinity of mountains. Enjoy your night.

• Day 4 : Kedarkantha Summit

  Now we’re going to summit Kedarkantha it’s just 3 km with an altitude of 12500 ft. Stay there for a while, Grab your part. We’ll be descending back to Juda ka Talab from here. A satisfying dinner and an overnight stay at Juda ka Talab.

• Day 5 : Back to base camp Sankri

  Back to base camp Sankri
  Now we are getting back to our base camp Sankri. You will be staying in guest House or Home-stay and served a delicious dinner.

Things To Remember

• There are no mobile networks so make your all urgent calls till Mori.
• No ATMs so take cash from Purola or Mori if you need it.
• There is no filling station nearby so stay filled if reaching by your own vehicle.
• It’s gonna be cold or may be near or below 0°C there so keep your warm clothes.
• Nature is unpredictable so you may see snow fall or rain so keep your Poncho, a good pair of shoes and a stick with you or we can provide you all this.
