A 14 days trip which involves drive to Gangotri , the ancient source of the holy river Ganga and trek to the finest high altitude Himalayan lake, Kedar tal (4912 mts) punctuated with breath stopping close view of Greater Himalayan peaks e.g. Thaleysagar (6904 mts), Brigupanth (6772 mts) and Jogin Group of peaks.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

On arrival met at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2 : Delhi - Haridwar

Morning transfer to the station time to catch train for Haridwar. On arrival met at the station and transfer to the hotel. Evening free to explore the Haridwar.
Day 3 : Haridwar - Uttarkashi (1158 mts)

Early morning after breakfast drive to Uttarkashi. Situated on the bank of roaring Bhagirathi, this town is famous for its institute of mountaineering. The drive to Uttarkashi is beautiful and along the bhagirathi river. Arrive Uttarkashi and transfer to hotel.

Day 4 : Uttarkashi - Gangotri (3140 mts)

Morning after breakfast drive to Gangotri. Arrive Gangotri and transfer to Hotel.
Overnight: Hotel

Day 5 : Gangotri - Bhoj Kharak (3780 mts) (5 hrs)

Morning after breakfast trek to Bhoj Kharak. The steep ascent to Bhoj Kharak starts as we leave the camp. After an hour climb we travers kedar gorge to reach Bhoj kharak. The entire trek is along Kedar Ganga , through fir (cedus ) and Bhoj (birch) trees. The bark of birch was used as paper for ancient manuscript in Inida. Arrive Bhoj Kharak and camp.
Day 6 : Kedar Kharak - Kedar Tal

After breakfast one crosses the meadows and on to a trail through scree, rocks & loose boulders. After continuing carefully through a strenuous uphill walk, one is able to see the famed Kedar Tal lake and its indelible reflection of Thalay Sagar mountain in the clear waters.Massive Himalayan peaks flank the lake from all around and the glacier feeding the lake can be seen up close. It is thrilling for some to hear the distant booming and swishing sounds of avalanches and cracking glaciers here! Overnight in tents near the lake.
Day 7 : Kedar Kharak - Bhoj Kharak Trek

After breakfast, view the area around the lake, and capture the spectacular sunrise painting the Thalia Sagar mountain in strange colours on film. Spend the day exploring, with an occasional appearance of the Himalayan Ibexes. Post lunch, retrace the previous route to Bhoj Kharak. Overnight in tents.
Day 8 : Bhoj Kharak - Gangotri Trek

After an early breakfast, start early for Gangotri in time to witness the Ganga Arti ceremony at the Gangotri Temple. Spend the entire day exploring this fascinating town! Gangotri is one of the most sacred destinations for Hindus, and the holy water of the river Bhagirathi (Ganges) is stored in every Hindu household for religious purposes. So important is the Ganga and its water, that water from this river is put on the lips of the dying to ease their path to salvation. It is time tested that the water from the Ganges never turns putrid even if stored for years! Perform Pooja at the temple built in honour of Mother Ganga (interestingly by the feared Nepalese conqueror of the area General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century) and relax in the peaceful surroundings of the gushing river.

Day 9 : Gangotri- Rishikesh

After breakfast bid Gangotri adieu, and start the swift downhill journey to Rishikesh through the narrow Bhagirathi valley at first, and after Devprayag the Ganga valley, till Rishikesh. Check in hotel for a quick wash, before exploring this holy town on your own, and buying souvenirs! Late evening transfer by car to Haridwar, in time to board the night A/C train to Delhi.

RESERVATION, CANCELLATION AND OTHER POLICIES
RESERVATION, DEPOSIT:

A deposit of 50% of the total price is due with your reservation. Final payments are due before the departure and for a few special trips, 30 days before your trip starts.

CANCELLATIONS:

If you need to cancel a reservation, please do so in writing (best by e-mail). If we receive your cancellation more than 90 days before the starting date of the trip, we refund 100% of your deposit. Between 90 and 30 days your deposit becomes non-refundable. At less than 30 days notice (after payment is received in full), no refunds can be given. Some trips attract a minimum processing charge. Please check. The tour price is quoted as a package. No partial refunds or credit will be given for services not used. We recommend that you obtain travel insurance upon booking.

TOUR LEADERS:

Our Tour Leaders take their responsibilities seriously and if a Tour Leader believes in his/her judgment that you should not participate in the trip, before your departure, even if you pass your medical, he/she may exclude you from the trip. In this circumstance you will be offered the option of taking another trip considered suitable for you or a full refund. If during a trip the Tour Leader considers you should not participate further he/she may direct you not to continue and you must follow the Tour Leader's instructions. In this case you will not be entitled to any refund. Travel insurance may compensate you depending on the circumstances.

HEALTH AND FITNESS REQUIREMENTS:

Participants must be in good health and in a good physical condition. It is vital that participants with medical problems make them known to us well before departure. If you suffer from severe muscular, chest, heart or bronchial disorders, or if you are a severe asthmatic, or have high blood pressure, you are strongly advised against participating. Our trips generally take place in remote areas where there is little or no access to normal medical services or hospital facilities for serious problems. Where necessary, evacuation can be prolonged but it is difficult and expensive. Medical and evacuation expenses will be the responsibility of the participant.

ROUTE CHANGES/POSTONEMENT OR DELAY:

may for any reason change the date of departure or conclusion of the tour, or it is possible that a route change, postponement or delay (either in relation to departure or to the duration of the expedition) may become necessary due to inclement weather, snow and ice conditions, political restrictions or any other cause. In the event of a change, postponement or delay, participants have no right to refund of the tour price (in whole or in part) or other compensation for any injury, loss or damage.

Package prices are based on ground costs, airfares and exchange rates.

EXCLUSION FROM TOUR PRICE:

The following items are excluded from the tour price: *visa, passport and vaccination charges; *departure, airport and airline taxes; *extra meals not included in the itinerary; *laundry, postage, personal clothing, medical expenses, personal travel insurance and items of a personal nature; *emergency evacuation charges; and *tips and excess baggage charges. I know Hezzi already 4 years which was enough time to get help from him in all the filleds he is dealing with.... from internet use to bookings of tickets, traks, parcels delivery, taxis and money exchange.
