Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Day 1 : Arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport - Transfer to Hotel

On Arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our driver / guide and he drive you the hotel for overnight. Nairobi is a buzzing metropolis of quirky eccentricities and a growing fashion, arts and cultural scene. An overnight stop here is often required due to the arrival times of your international flight.

    Things to do in Nairobi
Nairobi hides many an interesting pastime under it’s not-so-shiny reputation and, if you find yourself in the city, you may even wish you had a few more nights to spare.

Most of the action happens in the luxurious garden suburb of Karen. A typical day might include a morning with the orphaned elephants at the David Sheldrick Trust, time at the Karen Blixen museum (and a coffee and a slice of cake), and end with a giraffe ‘kiss’ at the centre at Giraffe Manor. We recommend hiring a driver to take you around the sights, and perhaps adding a dinner stop at one of the up-and-coming restaurants.

If you’re missing your daily wildlife fix - or desperate to get started – Nairobi is one of the only cities in the world to have a national park on the doorstep. It’s home to four of the Big Five (no elephant), game viewing is good, and there’s even a short walk at the entrance. A half- or full-day trip from the city is easy to arrange and your driver will stay with you for the duration.

Dinner and overnight at Fairview Hotel.

  • Day 2 : Day 2 : Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

Today after breakfast you will leave from Nairobi and head to Lake Naivasha with a stop by Hell's Gate. Lake Naivasha is vast, sunlit lake where easy-going days are spent boating, driving and walking.
The park, which is mainly, comprised of the savannah ecosystem harbours a wide variety of wildlife. There are over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux's eagles, augur buzzard and swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons are also common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope. Later in the evening you will head to the head for overnight.

Dinner and overnight at Elsamere Lodge.

  • Day 3 : Day 3 : Lake Nakuru National Park

You'll have an early morning pick up then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Across the equator, southwards of Bogoria, lies the Rift Valley's most famous Lake Nakuru. Known all over the world for its flamingos, it's alkaline and is recognized as being one of the Natural Wonders of the World. Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, harbouring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos, but the flamingoes, of course, have always been the main attraction. At times there may be almost 2 million flamingoes in the residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lakeshore. You'll arrive in time for lunch then have an afternoon game drive.

    Dinner and overnight at .

  • Day 4 : Day 4 : Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve

You'll have an early morning drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. A safari classic filled with the Big Five, wildlife-dotted landscapes and vibrant Maasai warriors. It holds on as one of the few places left on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed, in the numbers that once roamed the plains and forests of Africa. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of wildebeest, zebras and attendant predators. You will arrive in time for lunch then have an afternoon game drive.

Dinner and overnight at Tipilikwani Mara Camp.

  • Day 5 : Day 5 : Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, we'll have a full day game drive with packed lunch provided. The reserve is well known for its black-manned lions, as well as its abundant resident wildlife. It is one of the few places where it's possible to see the Big Five during a morning's game drive. Many of the cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under one's vehicle and several even climb onto the roof to get a better view of prospective prey. For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have been recorded: among these 16 species of eagle, many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks 4 of bustard (including the kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and 9 species of sunbirds.

Dinner and overnight at Tipilikwani Mara Camp.

  • Day 6 : Day 6 : Masai Mara National Reserve to Mombasa 4 nights

We will wake up at 6 am for a sunrise game drive. At 9 am, we will drive back to your accommodation for brunch then depart from your lodge and head to Masai Mara Airstrip for your flight to Ukunda Airport. You will be met on arrival at Ukunda Airport and driven to your next lodge in Mombasa for some days of relaxation and memorable experiences.

There is option to drive from Masai Mara to Nairobi to catch a flight to Mombasa.

Overnight Bed and Breakfast at Diani Blue Hotel.

  • Day 7 : Day 7 : Mombasa

Take a deep breath and pamper yourself with a relaxing stay at the beach. Enjoy a quiet place, of crystalline turquoise water, white sand and a huge seashore with only the noise of the sea and the gulls in the background. This place has become popular for its exotic beaches, diverse marine life, world-class hotels and friendly people. Nightlife is always exciting, and the city offers many dance clubs and casinos that cater to a variety of entertainment tastes.

  • Day 8 : Day 8 : Mombasa

Sip cocktails at sunset and chill-out in style in Kenya’s most sophisticated beach paradise.
Just south of the sultry city of Mombassa, Diani’s flawless, postcard-perfect beach is easy to get to and the perfect place to cast off your safari khakis and indulge that inner beach goddess (or god). A laid-back melee of boutique hotels, private houses and castaway-chic retreats, the resort is substantially more sophisticated then some others on the coast, but still perfectly charming. By day, life is all about the warm, turquoise seas with kitesurfing, paddleboarding, snorkelling and sailing on offer. By night, head into town for colourful cocktails as the sun sinks and take your pick of the fabulous restaurants and bars.

  • Day 9 : Day 9 : Mombasa

    What to do in Mombasa
Sun, sea and sand is always a charming combination, but visit Diani and it’s the ocean that really holds the ticket to the activities. Warm, gin-clear water makes it ideal for snorkelling, and when the tide is out, a glass-bottomed boat or dug-out canoe trip will reveal the magic of the marine world. For something adventurous, there are plenty of PADI-certified diving schools dotted along the beach, and deep sea fishing is also a possibility. Just-right winds make it a great spot to learn to wind- or kite-surf, but if you would prefer to enjoy some R&R on the beach that’s frequently voted Kenya’s best, that’s fine too…

By evening, hire a traditional dhow and cruise the coastline at sunset, then head into ‘town’ for cocktails and dinner at one of the quirky eateries; Ali Barbour’s cave restaurant is usually at the top of the list.

Most hotels and resorts offer a huge variety of in-house experiences, but activities can be organised through a watersports centre. Just let us know, and we’ll point you in the right direction.
