Kenya is a country in East Africa with coastline on the Indian Ocean. It encompasses savannah, lakelands, the dramatic Great Rift Valley and mountain highlands. It's also home to wildlife like lions, elephants and rhinos. From Nairobi, the capital, safaris visit the Maasai Mara Reserve, known for its annual wildebeest migrations, and Amboseli National Park, offering views of Tanzania's 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Day 1 : Amboseli National Park
Met on arrival and drive to Amboseli in time for lunch. Amboseli National Park, lying below the most famous symbol of Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. The 392 sq km Amboseli National Park lies due south of Nairobi, within clear sight of Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa highest mountain at 5896 metres. The waters of the mountain feed the seasonal swamps and marshes on which the game and birds, which live in the park, rely. It is here that photographers will hope to shoot the classic picture of the elephant or giraffe standing against the dramatic backdrop of the snow capped mountain. Day 2 : Amboseli National Park
Whole day in Amboseli with early morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight at Amboseli Lodge.
Day 3 : Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast drive to the Namanga Border. Pick up from Namanga border and drive to Arusha in time for lunch then drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation area, the largest intact caldera in the world. Its enduring charm stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Check in at your lodge in time for lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Lodge.
Day 4 : Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, depart full day tour of the crater floor. Return to your lodge for lunch OR armed with picnic lunches descend to the valley of the crater for game viewing with lunch at one of the designated picnic sites. Afternoon at leisure. Meals and overnight at Ngorongoro Lodge.
Day 5 : Serengeti National Park
After breakfast proceed to Serengeti National Park arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. En route visit the Olduvai Gorge site of archeological findings, where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years ago have been discovered Serengeti is undoubtedly the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and the greatest concentration of plains game anywhere. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Lodge.
Day 6 : Serengeti National Park
Full day spent in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drive. Meals and overnight at Serengeti Lodge.
Day 7 : Masai Mara National Park
After early breakfast and armed with picnic lunches drive to Isebania border to clear with customs, cross the border where your driver guide from the Kenyan side will pick you and drive to Mara Lodge with a game drive en route at the private Lemek Conservancy. The Masai Mara National Reserve is renowned for offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Dinner and overnight at Mara Lodge
Day 8 : Masai Mara Game Reserve
Rise before dawn for a spectacular Hot Air Balloon ride followed by a bubbly bush breakfast (optional at extra cost). OR proceed on a full day game drive into Masai Mara with picnic lunches for game spotting safari in the reserve and the opportunity to spot Africa Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. Overnight in Mara Lodge - Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 9 : Lake Naivasha
After breakfast drive straight to Lake Naivasha in time for lunch, Spend the afternoon at leisure with optional activities are available booked and paid locally. Lake Naivasha is surrounded by stands of papyrus and is a bird-watcher paradise. Water birds exist in great variety and abundance. Fish eagles and ospreys, herons and egrets, lily-trotters, red-knobbed coots and black crakes can be found within the area of this beautiful lake. In addition to the bird population, over 500 hippos reside in the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Lodge.
Day 10 : Nairobi Departure
After breakfast drive back to Nairobi and with a panoramic tour or last minute shopping, lunch will be at a local restaurant. Later transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.
