Day 1 : Arrival in Nairobi

Day 2 : Nairobi City Day Tour | Abana Safaris Day Tour
Nairobi is derived from the Masai word, “Enkare Nyrobi” meaning the “place of cool water”. Today you experience the Abana Safaris Day Tour. The Nairobi City Tour is very interesting with the contrasts of old and new blending together. Your first stop will be the Nairobi National Museum and the Snake Park . This showcases the cultural heritage of Kenya as well as the early man. Afterwards proceed to the Nairobi View point to witness the spectacular views of the City. The photos taken from here are always breath taking. From here you will witness the famed Uhuru Park, Central Park and the sky crappers of the Nairobi City Centre. The afternoon visit to Karen Blixen Museum the famous home of “out of Africa” book and movie series, give you a highlight of colonial Kenya. Later proceed to the Giraffe Centre, home to the Rothschild Giraffe . Here you will have an opportunity of feeding it or kissing it, time allowing. Your Nairobi day tour ends here, where you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 3 : Lake Nakuru National park | Kenya Safari
You will depart Nairobi City to Lake Nakuru National Park through the Great Rift Valley view point. The scenic route gives you the breathtaking views of the rift valley. You will arrive at the hotel in time for lunch. Early afternoon can be spent on leisure at the lodges swimming pool and in the you will have a game drive. In addition to the bird life for which Nakuru is so well known for; there are many different wildlife species in the park including lion, leopard, Black rhino, White rhino, buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, zebra, impala and waterbuck.

Day 4 : Masai Mara National Reserve | Kenya Safari
After breakfast you will drive to Masai Mara via Narok town where you will have a brief stop. Proceed and arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. The next two days shall be spent game viewing, either in the early morning hours or in the evening as this is when we have the best chances of seeing animals. On clear days, Masai Mara Safari offers fantastic orange tinted sunsets and you will definitely want to capture this moment while sipping on a sundowners back at your lodge. The Mara reserve is 1510 sq km of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers. Wherever you are on a Masai Mara Safari you are likely to see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos also exist in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but are still reasonably common.
The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October. Balloon trips in Masai Mara are an entirely outstanding way of seeing the savannah plains and the wildlife after which you come back down for a beautiful champagne breakfast. Day 8 : Ngorongoro crater | Tanzania Safari
After your early morning game drive at Serengeti National Park, you will have your breakfast and proceed on to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via the Olduvai gorge where its believed the cradle of mankind were found. The Ngorongoro Crater is also reffered to as ‘Africa’s Eden’ as well as the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World,’. The crater’s visit is one of an experience found nowhere else. On a Tanzania Safari , the Ngorongoro Crater is definitely a world-class attraction. You can easily find large herds of zebra on the crater ream and wildebeest graze nearby as well as the lions lying under the sun. The black rhino which is one of the endangered animals, can be seen at dawn heading to the crater forest. The Maasai herd their cattle and goats over green pastures through the highland slopes, living alongside the wildlife as they have for centuries. Day 9 : Lake Manyara national park | Tanzani Safari
Depart with your picnic lunch boxes for Lake Manyara National Park. Located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park offers varied ecosystems, incredible bird life, and breathtaking views. Located on the Northern Circuit in Tanzania, Lake Manyara National Park is well worth a stop in its own right. Its ground water forests, bush plains, baobob strewn cliffs, and algae-streaked hot springs offer incredible ecological variety in a small area, rich in wildlife and incredible numbers of birds. Day 10 : Tanzania – Zanzibar Safari
Early morning game drives then return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast drive to Arusha. Lunch in Arusha and then drop off at the airport to board a flight to Zanzibar. Airport transfer to hotel ready to enjoy the beautiful Zanzibar which is often described as the ultimate Indian Ocean experience, with its fascinating historical Stone Town and magnificent beaches.

Day 12 : Zanzibar Beach Safari
Days spent sunbathing and relaxing at the beach hotel.

Day 13 : Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam
It’s time to say goodbye to this beautiful island, so grudgingly we depart Zanzibar by ferry after breakfast. Lunch at hotel and afternoon at leisure.
Dar es Salaam in Arabic means “house of Peace” is the largest City in Tanzania. Dar es Salaam city is situated on a massive natural harbour on the Eastern Indian Ocean Coast of Africa, with sandy beaches in some areas.
Overnight at the Holiday Inn Dar es Salaam or similar. (If your flight departs from Nairobi, you can have your one way flight from Zanzibar to Nairobi. )
