Day 1 : Arrival Nairobi
Pick up from the airport on arrival JKIA and transfer you to Panafric hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 : Nairobi - Amboseli National park
Depart after breakfast through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park, home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of Elephant. After lunch an afternoon ‘Spice’ game run is planned. In addition to Elephant, Antelope, Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo and the elusive Leopard, nearly every visitor within the Park is framed by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or Ol Tukai Lodge.
Day 3 : Amboseli national park
Rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for another stimulating ‘Spice’ game drive. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest to Giraffes to Baboons. Optional visit to a Masai village is planned after breakfast. Maasai warriors are famously known as the proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world. A visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Midday finds us at our lodge for lunch and afternoon rest, followed by another extensive ‘Spice’ game drive.dinner and overnight at Amboseli Ol Tukai lodge or Amboseli Serena
Day 4 : Amboseli - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, we drive into Tanzania via the Namanga border. Stopping in Arusha for lunch and proceed to Lake Manyara National park afternoon game drive is taken.Tucked below the majesty of the RiftValley wall, the park is a thin green band of forest flanked one side by the sheer 600metres high red and brown cliffs of the escarpment and on the other by the white-hot shores of an ancient soda lake Acacia woodland shelters the park’s famous tree climbing lion, lying among the branches in the heat of the day. dinner and overnight at Manyara Serena lodge.
Day 5 : Lake Manyara - Serengeti National park
Morning game drives at Lake Manyara national park before proceeding to Serengeti national park with packed lunches. Game is viewed as we proceed to Serengeti Sopa lodge for overnight stay.
Day 6 : Serengeti National Park
Day spent exploring the vast park rich with abundant wildlife. You also visit the northern part of the park – Seronera with an opportunity of seeing the annual wildebeest migration. Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Sopa Lodge.
Serengeti is Africa’s most famous and Tanzania’s largest park covering 14,736 sq km and is adjoining with the Masai Mara National reserve in Kenya. With a wildebeest population of about 2 million and several other hoofed species (which include zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi, Grants gazelle, Kongoni, Eland, Kirk’s dik dik, klipspringer, roan, Oryx, oribi, waterbuck, buffalo, giraffe and warthog), the Serengeti is sure to attract a string of prey such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, golden jackals and bat eared foxes. Elephants are relatively scarce and the few remaining black rhinoceros are restricted to the Moru Koppies area. Serengeti also offers rewarding bird viewing with ostrich and kori bustard being common, a variety of larks, finches, and raptors can be seen but the most distinctive small bird is the lilac breasted roller.
Day 7 : Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge
Depart after breakfast for Ngorongoro crater a 4wheel drive vehicle will take you 2000ft down to the crater, enjoy picnic lunch at the crater a river canyon cut a 100 metres deep through the volcanic soil of the Serengeti plains. Buried in the layers are hominids and remains of animals that lived and died more than 2 million years ago. The guides will give you on site information of the gorge This huge caldera or collapsed volcano is 250 square kilometres and 600metres deep. Its spectacular settings and abundance of wildlife makes it one of the natural great wonders of the world – is referred to as the eighth wonder of the world or the EDEN of Africa. Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
Day 8 : Ngorongoro - Tarangire national park
Morning crater tour with packed lunches then drive to Tarangire national park for evening game drives. Dinner and overnight stay at Tarangire sopa lodge Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem – a smorgasbord for predators – and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared Oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed.
Day 9 : Arusha - Nairobi
Early morning game drives then return to the lodge for breakfast ,drive to Arusha town for lunch then board an afternoon shuttle bus to Nairobi departing at 1400 hrs – drop off at the airport to board your home bound flight.
