East Africa Safari begins with Samburu National Reserve a true wilderness and home to unique wildlife and plant life and onward continuation to The Aberdare National Park, an isolated range that forms the eastern wall of the rift valley and diverse topography with amazing views of wildlife night game viewing. Then proceed to the Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its birdlife especially flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake.
The climax is the Most famous Reserve in Kenya, The Masai Mara National Reserve. You are almost guaranteed to see all the big five. Lions abound throughout the Park as do leopards, cheetah and hyenas. Between July and October, when the great wildebeest migration is on in the Masai Mara, the Sensation is unparalled. From the end of June, drawn by the long rains of April and May, it is estimated that more than half a million wildebeests enter the Masai Mara National Reseve. These are in addition joined by another 100,000 from Loita Hills east of the Mara. Then onward procession to Ngorongoro National reserve.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a world heritage site, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and is commonly referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. Then proceed to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania's oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th world wide wonder.
The Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle join the wildebeest's trek for fresh grazing Lake Manyara National Park Stretching for 50km along the base of the rusty-gold 600-metre high Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as "the loveliest I had seen in Africa". And ends with The safari begins at Amboseli National Park located at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro. The snow capped peak of Mt Kilimanjaro rising above a saucer of clouds dominates every aspect of the park.Additional sightseeing or deviation from the itinerary

Day 1 : Samburu National Reserve
Met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, briefed by our representative and drive to Samburu National Reserve arrive at the Samburu Serena Lodge/similar in time for lunch. Game drive at 1600hrs. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2 : Samburu National Reserve
Full day in the reserve with game drives at 0630hrs and 1600hrs respectively. Samburu is famous for its rare mammals that only survive north of the equator. These are the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Beira oryx and grevy's zebra. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Lodge / Similar. All meals and overnight at the Samburu Serena Lodge/similar.
Day 3 : Aberdare National Reserve
Depart after breakfast and proceed south to the Aberdare Country Club. The Club is the base hotel for the tree hotel - Ark / Similar. Lunch at Aberdare Country Club and at 1430hrs, transfer to the Ark, which is located in the Aberdare National Park, with small overnight bags as most of the luggage is left at the club. The Ark has various decks and balconies for easy viewing and photography of wild game. Dinner and overnight of game viewing at the lodge.
Day 4 : Lake Nakuru National Reserve
After breakfast, transfer back to the base hotel to retrieve rest of your luggage and drive towards the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving at Lake Nakuru Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. Short siesta and at 1600 hrs, enjoy an afternoon game drive in park that also takes you to the shores of the lake famous for its birdlife especially flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5 : The Masai Mara National Reserve
Depart Nakuru after breakfast and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world famous game reserve, the Masai Mara arriving at Keekorok Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. At 1600hrs enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 6 : The Masai Mara National Reserve
Full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 0630hrs and 1600hrs respectively. Considered by many to be Kenya's finest game reserve, the 650sq miles of the Maasai Mara adjoin Tanzania's well-known Serengeti, forming one ecosystem. The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topi, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. From June to September, the annual Wildebeest migration takes place when thousands of these animals sweep across the plain and seek out new grazing areas. All meals and overnight at Keekorok Lodge / Similar.
Day 7 : Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, embark on a 3-hour drive to Isebania border post, between Kenya and Tanzania with your lunch boxes. Once in Tanzanian territory, drive to Serengeti Sopa Lodge / Similar, arriving in mid afternoon. The Serengeti is the most famous of Tanzania's National Parks and is known for its large amount of grazing mammals, including 1.5 million wildebeest. Serengeti is derived from the Masai word "Serenget" meaning "wide open space". At 1600 hrs enjoy an evening game drive and then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 : Serengeti National Park
Full day in the game reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. The great plains of Serengeti are where endless streams of wildebeest and zebra pour south towards Ngorongoro or north towards the Masai Mara. Our game drives will cover the varied habitats and eco-system of Serengeti. An optional balloon safari is highly recommended to get an eagle-eye view of the magnificent wilderness and wildlife of Serengeti. The safari ends with champagne under a lone acacia tree surrounded by vast savannah grasslands. Overnight stay at Serengeti Sopa Lodge / Similar.
Day 9 : Ngorongoro National Reserve
Early morning game drive at 0630 hrs, breakfast and then depart to Ngorongoro National Park via Ol Duvai Gorge, arriving at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. Ngorongoro conservation area is referred to by many as the eighth wonder of the world. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 10 : Ngorongoro National Reserve
Depart the lodge with picnic lunch boxes for a half-day of game viewing in the Ngorongoro crater. Descend down the steep walls of the caldera into a paradise of woodlands and lakes that provide for abundant wildlife. Gazelle, buffalo, elephants, wildebeest as well as big cats, particularly the black manned lion, leopards and hyena. A multitude of birds including flamingos are sighted regularly. Wildly beautiful as it is, it is not surprising that Ngorongoro crater has been called a Garden of Eden. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge / Similar.
Day 11 : Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast depart Ngorongoro and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, arriving in time for lunch at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge / Similar. Short siesta and at 1600 hrs, enjoy another game drive in the Park. Manyara is a Maasai word for a plant used by local people in making living stockades for their livestock. Lake Manyara National Park is situated spectacularly between the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and Lake Manyara. The most famous spectacle is the tree-climbing lions, which are occasionally seen along branches of Acacia trees. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 12 : Amboseli National Park
Depart Manyara after breakfast and drive to Arusha to collect picnic lunch boxes. Proceed to Nairobi via Namanga border post. Proceed to Amboseli National Park, famous for its spectacular view of the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). Arrive at Amboseli Serena Lodge / Similar in the late afternoon. Dwarfed by the majestic snow-capped peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena Lodge draws on a subtle Maasai cultural motif, featuring natural woodcarvings, traditional artefacts and a glowing selection of local art. At 1600hrs enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 13 : Amboseli National Park
Full day in Amboseli with game drives at 0630 hrs and 1600 hrs. Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya's most popular national parks. It lies 150 miles south-east of Nairobi, very close to the Tanzania border. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds dominates every aspect of Amboseli. All meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge / Similar.
Day 14 : Departure
Depart Amboseli after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving early afternoon. Lunch at a city restaurant and then drop off at the Panari Hotel / Similar, where you are booked on Bed and breakfast basis. Lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant, justifiably referred to as Africa's Greatest Eating Experience, having twice been voted amongst the worlds 50 best restaurants by UK based Restaurant magazine. Drop off at the at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your KQ flight back home.
