Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival – Lake Nakuru National Park

  Your international flight will arrive at Jomo Kenyatta international airport in the morning where Abana safaris representative will meet you. After the airport formalities, board the vehicle and get transferred to tamarind restaurant where you will have your buffet breakfast. Afterwards, start on an adventure journey to the Great Rift Valley. You will have a brief stop-over at the view point to be explained on how the Rift Valley was formed and thereafter, proceed with your journey. On the way, enjoy sittings of mount Suswa and Margret as the vast Kenyan landscape unfolds around you. You will arrive at Lake Nakuru Lodge in time for lunch. Check in, have your lunch and rest. In the afternoon, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park for a game viewing drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its flamingos, Rhinos, Leopards, Rothschild’s Giraffe and many more. Enjoy sittings of the greater and lesser flamingoes which out of their concentration make lake shores appear pink. You will thereafter proceed to the baboon cliff to have a panoramic look at the whole park from an aerial view. The sunset here is to die for. Afterwards have a game viewing drive through the park as you return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
• Day 2 : Lake Nakuru National Park -Amboseli National park

  After breakfast in your lodge, proceed to check out and board your van for Amboseli. Have a last en-route game drive of the bird’s haven before exiting the park. On your way, enjoy sittings of the beautiful savannah grasslands including free roaming game. Once you get to Nairobi, the driver guide will take you around for a city tour while explaining the various landmarks. Drive through Athi River on to the South through the Athi-Kapiti plains, past Emali on to Amboseli. You will have a game drive en-route to Kibo Safari Camp. This Camp is located on the slopes of the highest Mountain in Africa Mt. Kilimanjaro. After checking in, freshen up have lunch and rest. Depart for a late afternoon game drive inside the park. Watching the sunset against the background of the mountain better viewed from the Kenyan side is a panoramic view that you will never forget. Later return to your camp for total relaxation, dinner and overnight.
• Day 3 : Amboseli National park - Mombasa

  Rise early for a morning game viewing drive. This is usually the best time for the drives before the heat of the day drives the animals under the cover of trees and shrubs. Amboseli is Kenya’s biosphere reserve and in the Maasai language Amboseli means ‘a place of salty dust’ from the usually dry lakebed, which forms much of the park. With the super backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest point, large herds of elephant, wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle are major attractions. Among the marshes, Pelicans, Kingfishers and waterfowl abound. Here, too, the elephants will come to feed and drink, often accompanied by white egrets. Afterwards return to the camp for your sumptuous breakfast. After breakfast, proceed to check out and drive to Mombasa.Have a last game drive as you exit the park. You will proceed further through the dry terrain past Yatta plateau, the longest plateau in Kenya, which covers around 300km. After the long drive a stopover at Mtito a Ndei is worthy while to get refreshed and lunch just before proceeding further past Voi. The change of climate and natural setting is obvious as the grasslands give way to the appearance of the tropical vegetation nearing Mombasa. Arrive at Mombasa in the evening. Check in to your hotel and rest.
• Day 4 : Mombasa

  After breakfast, the day will be spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight in the resort.
• Day 5 : Mombasa - Zanzibar

  After your breakfast in the hotel, proceed to check out. Depending on the time of your flight, you will get transferred to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. This marks the end of your program. Kwaheri!
