Day 1 : Kochi
Arrival at the Kochi airport, you will be received by our representative at Kochi International airport and will be transferred to the hotel. Kochi (colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant city situated on the south-west coast of the Indian peninsula in the breathtakingly scenic and prosperous state of Kerala, hailed as ‘God’s Own Country’. Informally, Cochin is also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala, Check in at the resort in Kochi, Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 2 : Kochi sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for a sightseeing of Kochi, covering Fort Cochin, attractions are the Basque Da Gama Square, the Basilica of Santa Cruz, San Francisco Church, VOC Gate, Bastion Bungalow, Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace, etc. Learn the operation of fishing nets interesting of Chinese built teak and bamboo poles work on the principle of balance. Check out and proceed for a sightseeing of Coonoor covering Dolphins Nose, Sims Park, High Field Tea Estate, Afternoon proceed to Ooty also known as Udhagamandalam is the “Queen of hill stations” and the capital of Nilgiris district. It is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. Nilgiris means “Blue Mountains”. It is a land of picturesque picnic spots. Used to be popular summer and weekend getaway for the Britishers during the colonial days. It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level, check in at the hotel, overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 : Ooty sightseeing
Breakfast and proceed for local tour covering: Ooty Lake, Botanical Garden, Dodabetta Peak and back to hotel. Evening free for shopping on your own,Dinner and overnight stay at Ooty.
Day 6 : Ooty Madurai
After lunch proceed to Madurai, The temple town of Madurai, situated on the banks of river Vaigai, is one of the most ancient cities in India with a history dating back to the pre-Christian times. It was the imperial capital of the Pandyan Empire in the 14th Century AD. Madurai was the seat of Tamil learning and the last of the Tamil Sangams (Academies) was held here nearly 2000 years ago,check in at the hotel in the evening overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7 : Madurai sightseeing
After a Leisurely breakfast, proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Madurai, Places of tourist interest include the imposing Meenakshi Temple, ThirumalaiNayakarMahal, Gandhi Museum,overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8 : Madurai to Munnar
Check out at 09 00 clock and proceed to Munnar,The word “Munnar” means three rivers. 3 mountain streams (Madurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala) are joining together here. During the British rule in India, Munnar was the summer resort of the Government officials. The natural beauty, calmness andmild cold climate throughout the year make it a favorite tourist destination. There are about 30 tea plantations in and around Munnar. The tea estates, hills, lakes and forests inside Munnar range encompass its beauty. The Munnarhills are covered by tea plants, which give a feeling of seeing a wide green carpet.
Day 9 : Munnar sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for a full day sightseeing trip Mattupatty,Kundala,Eco point followed by a visit to Pothamedu which offers an excellent view of the tea, coffee and cardamom plantations in Munnar. The rolling hills, the lush mountain and the breathtaking scenery here is ideal for trekking and long mountain walks surroundings is a good picnic spot, after lunch visit Tea Museum and Blossom Park,Later visit the Rajmalai Wild Life sanctuary – this is the only sanctuary in India where Indian Ibex’s are found, followed by a visit to KannanDevan Hills. From here you can have a panoramic view of Munnar Tea Estates & the Lake of Munnar,overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 10 : MunnarThekkady
After a Leisurely breakfast and proceed to Thekkady, The periyar wildlife sanctuary – Lying close to the plantations, in the rich jungles of periyar in thekkady is one of the world’s most fascinating natural wildlife reserves – the periyar wildlife sanctuary, spread across 777 sq km, of which 360 sq.km is thick evergreen forest, the periyar wildlife sanctuary was declared a tiger reserve in 1978. The splendid artificial lake formed by the mullaperiyar dam across the periyarriver adds to the charm of the park. This is the only sanctuary in india where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake, overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11 : ThekkadyAlleppey
Check out at 10 00 clock and proceed to Alleppey known as “Venice of the East” Alleppey has a vast network of beaches, lakes, lagoons and freshwater rivers . This is an important backwater destination attracting several thousand foreign tourists every year and is also famous for its boat races, beaches, marine products and coir industry,Alleppey connects Kumarakom and Kochi towards the north by through lakes, overnight stay at the hotel/resort.
Day 12 : Alleppey
Full day is at Leisure at the backwater resort,visit local villages in Alleppey, overnight stay at the resort
Day 13 : Alleppey Houseboat
After morning breakfast, Proceed to Alleppey. Check in at the houseboat Enjoy the magic of backwater by going on a Houseboat (Kettuvallam) cruise across the backwaters. Day 14 : Alleppey Kovalam
After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Hotel at Kovalam. Check in to your Hotel. Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favorite haunt of tourists, especially Europeans, since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing, Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 15 : Kovalam Poovar Kovalam
At the southern tip of Trivandrum, bordering Kerala and Tamil Nadu, is the beautiful coastal village of Poovar. With backwaters on one sideand the sea on the other, Poovar is a network of lagoons, lakes, canals, estuaries, and deltas, interspersing forty-four rivers that join the Arabian Sea. The Neyyar River passes through Neyyattinkarataluk into the Arabian Sea near Poovar. Lying close to the natural harbour Vizhinjam, Poovar has an estuary which connects with the sea during high tides.
