Day 1 : Arrive Cochin – Guruvayoor (80kms/2.5hrs)(Guruvayoor Temple)
Greeted by our representative at the airport and transferred to Guruvayoor, the temple town near Thrissur; also known as the cultural capital of Kerala. Check into your hotel. One of the most sacred and important pilgrim centers in Kerala, the main attraction in Guruvayoor is the Sree Krishna Temple. Relax and unwind on your first day. Overnight at the Kanoos residency. (Vehicle for transfer)
Day 2 : Guruvayoor (Total biking distance: 15 kms. Terrain: Plain) (Punnathur Kotta Elephant Sanctuary)
Today cycling starts with a tour around the town which will give you the opportunity to see the many cultural attractions of Guruvayoor, ending at the Punathoor Kotta – the elephant sanctuary. The palace ground of the erstwhile Kings of Punnathoor, it houses an elephant camp with more than 60 elephants and is said to be the only one of its kind anywhere in the world. In the evening, visit a traditional Kalaripayattu (Martial art of Kerala) centre. Overnight at the Kanoos residency.(Back-up vehicle).
Day 3 : Guruvayoor – Cochin (Total biking distance: 70 kms. Terrain: Plain)(Chinese Fishing Nets – Cochi
Start early in the morning and cycle through the coastal back roads towards Fort Kochi (The cultural part of Cochin) passing through fishing villages, paddy fields and small villages along the way. Break for lunch at a beach.
After lunch continue the ride and cross the harbour mouth at the Vypeen Islands and cross over to Fort Cochin by ferry. Check into your hotel. Overnight at the Secret Garden. (Back-up vehicle) (Distances can be shortened based on cyclist’s experience)
Day 4 : Cochin (Total biking distance: 15 kms. Terrain : Plain)(Mattancherry Palace)
Today explore the old quarter of Fort Kochi visiting the many fascinating highlights of Cochin which include – the Jewish Synagogue in what is locally called the Jew Town, St. Francis Church which is the oldest European church in India, the Santa Cruz Basilica built in 1557 by the Portuguese, the Dutch palace, the spice market and the 15th century Chinese fishing nets believed to have been brought by Chinese traders. In the evening, board a ferry to go over to the bustling part of Cochin – Ernakulam and visit ‘Broadway’ and the busy bazaars. Overnight at the Secret Garden. (Back-up vehicle)
Day 5 : Cochin – Alleppey (Total biking distance: 60 kms. Terrain : Plain)
After breakfast start your cycling trail for the day. Leaving the busy roads of Fort Cochin, you will hit the beach road that will take you to your final destination for today, the Raheem’s Residency. Riding through the fishing villages and coconut plantations as you bike along with the sea on one side is an exhilarating experience. Stop at Andhakaranazhy – a great stretch of beach where you could have lunch. You will also stop at the Arthunkal church by the sea. On arrival at the resort relax by the poolside and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 6 : Houseboat
Transfer to your houseboat where you will embark on your private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or ‘Kettuvalloms’ are luxurious boats with well appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings it’s the life along the backwaters that makes this a fascinating experience. The locals travel in canoes and you will find vegetable sellers, fishermen and other traders bringing household goods, door to door in small wooden boats. As you cruise along the backwaters you can ask your captain to stop at villages, paddy fields and other places enroute. Overnight on board. (Full Board)

Disembark at Alleppey, drive upto Karunagappally and then start biking, and cycle to the eco lodge – Fragrant Nature set in a typical Kerala village. Later today, you could enjoy a deep sea fishing trip near Varkala beach. Overnight at the Fragrant Nature. (Back-up vehicle)
Day 9 : Kollam – Kovalam (Total biking distance: 45 kms. Terrain: Slight Gradients in some sections. Mostl
Start cycling in the morning and make the best of the cool early hours as we ride towards the great beaches in the South. We will end our cycling adventure at Kaniyapuram near Trivandrum and be transferred to Kovalam, one of the most popular beach destinations in Kerala, and check into your hotel. Kovalam consists of three adjacent crescent beaches separated by rocky headlands, of which the southernmost, Lighthouse Beach, is the most famous. The azure waters and favorable climate make Kovalam a favorite year-round destination for each lovers. Enjoy a complimentary rejuvenating full body Ayurveda massage.
