Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Cochin(Chinese Fishing Nets – Cochin)

  Welcomed by Travel Planners representative at Cochin and transfer to hotel. Cochin, a port town since early centuries, Cochin, also known as the spice coast of India, attracted traders and invaders from the world over. Needless to say, Cochin offers you some fascinating snippets of history and culture. you can we visit Cochin city. • Day 2 : Kothamangalam Home Stay(Mundackal Estate Bungalow)

  Early morning drive to Kothamangalam and spend the afternoon at leisure in a century old estate bungalow set in over 100 acres of multi crop plantation. Visit the Kodanad elephant orphanage. The training camp has 6 to 7 small elephants. you may join in bathing the elephants in the river, as well as training and feeding the elephants. There is a tree house built by the Forest Department within the training camp which is ideal for some relaxation and a break. Elephant rides will also be possible. Overnight at the Mundackal Estate Bungalow – Birds Nest (Full Board)

• Day 3 : Munnar Tea Hills

  Today morning after breakfast depart for Munnar enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. Arrive Munnar and check in at hotel. In the evening you can go for sight seeing of Munnar and witness tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lust green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the covered by Tata tea.visit echo point and Mattupetty dam on the way. Overnight at a bungalow – Tallayar Valley Bungalow – Blue Jay

• Day 4 : Munnar Tea Hills

  Today you can go for special training programme called MAKE A CUP OF TEA, through that you will get an opportunity to experience all process of tea making. Overnight at – Tallayar Valley Bungalow – Blue Jay

• Day 5 : Munnar – Periyar (Thekkady)

  Today morning drive to Periyar an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 tiger reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your hotel. You could go on a spice plantation tour today where you will be enticed by not only the aroma of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and nutmeg but will also get to know how they are grown, harvested and processed before they reach the supermarkets. It is also possible to go for an Elephant ride today. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel Niraamaya Retreats Cardamom Club

• Day 6 : Periyar

  Today you could go for an escorted jungle trek inside the periyar wild life sanctuary to spot animals. In the evening you could also go for a boat ride is an option where you will get the opportunity to sight elephants and other animals along the bank. You can also try ayurveda massage here. Overnight at the hotel Niraamaya Retreats Cardamom Club

• Day 7 : House Boat (5 Hrs Drive)

  Morning drive to Alleppey, embark on your private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboats or ‘Kettuvalloms’ are luxurious boats with well-appointed bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the palm fringed landscape from your cabins. Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings it’s the life along the coast that adds a touch of exotica to this experience.
  The locals’ travel in canoes and you will find vegetable sellers, fishermen and other traders bringing household goods, door to door in small wooden boats. As you cruise along the backwaters you can ask your captain to stop at villages, paddy fields and other places, enroute. Overnight on board. (Full Board)

• Day 8 : Alleppey

  Today morning after breakfast, disembark houseboat and drive to backwater place (30 mins drive), you can see panoramic backwater stretches, lush paddy fields. On arrival check into beautiful backwater Homestay and rest of the day free to relax at the homestay. Night stay atVembanad House.

• Day 9 : Marari Beach

  Drive to Marari beach, on the way you can see the never ending paddy fields and coconut plams, facing Arabian Sea and Theeyaseril Pozhi (lake). Blessed by nature on one side and and all backwaters, boarded by coconut palms, a natural habitat of many rare birds. On the other side, an exclusive sunny beach with crystal clear sand. • Day 10 : Marari Beach (No Vehicle)

  Marari- let us be clear, is not the place for a raucous beach holiday. There are no rave parties here, no noisy water scooters, and no sellers of trinkets. But for those seeking to undo the stresses of city life and experience a completely new pace, it is the perfect spot to beach recreations.
  Spend the whole day in the sunny, relaxed beach. Over night at Marari Beach Resort (No vehicle)

• Day 11 : Departure: (2 hrs drive)

  Departure transfer to Cochin airport for onward flight. (Vehicle for transfer)
