Day 1 : TRIVANDRUM - KOVALAM
Pick up from Trivandrum/Kochuveli Railway station/Bus station. Proceed for the sightseeing tour of Trivandrum - an ancient city with a tradition dating back to 1000 BC. This capital city of Kerala is a beautiful seaside metropolis built on seven hills. It is located on the west coast of India spreading over a total area of 2,192 sq.km. Sightseeing tour is comprehensive with the visits to Padmanabhaswami Temple, Srichitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum and Zoo. Overnight stay is arranged in Kovalam.
Day 2 : KOVALAM - ALEPPEY
Kumarakom which is famous for backwaters and canals. It has earned fame in the commercial world as the world's chief supplier of coir. Check in at the back water resort and relax for the day. Pedal boating and fishing facility available at the resort. (These cottages are heritage properties air conditioned well facilitated. This provides independent cottages built in a new style. Facilitated with hot & cold water, telephone, personalized room service & family restaurant serving homely Indian food & traditional Kerala dishes.). Overnight stay at resort.
Day 3 : ALEPPY
After breakfast, take an optional boat cruise to ALEPPEY Lake . In the afternoon, relax and unwind as you stay Overnight stay at resort.
Day 4 : KUMARAKOM - THEKKADY
After breakfast proceed to Thekkady. As you wind your way up the road, the wooded terrain clears to reveal a breathtaking spectacle of rolling tea and cardamom plantations. Fill your lungs with fresh mountain air; savour the rich fragrance of cinnamon and cloves. Thekkady is situated 2800 ft above sea level; the climate is pleasantly cool through out the year. Periyar is South India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary. This is the only wild life sanctuary in India that offers the unique opportunity of viewing wild life in their natural habitat at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. After a guided spice plantation tour in the afternoon (optional at extra cost), enjoy a boat ride in the lake and if you are lucky you can watch young elephants drinking at the water’s edge. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5 : THEKKADY
After breakfast, take an optional boat cruise to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. In the afternoon, visit a spice plantation. Return to relax and unwind as you stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : THEKKADY - MUNNAR
After breakfast proceed to Munnar . Munnar is a hill station located 3ft 1600M above sea level and which was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Check in at hotel and after the fresh up you can go to local sight seeing. Return back to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7 : MUNNAR
After breakfast, we proceed on a daylong sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit the Eravikulam National Park - home to the endangered mountain goat species, the Nilgiri Tahr. Take snaps of the frolicsome and rather friendly goats. After that you can visit Mattupetty, Devikulam, and Tea plantations. Return back at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8 : MUNNAR - COCHIN
After breakfast proceed to Cochin . Cochin sight seeing at Jewish synagogue, Jain temple, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Chinese Fishing nets, Dutch Cemetery, Dutch Palace, Hill Palace and the Fort Cochin beach if time permits. You can do shopping for silks and handicrafts too. feeling contented about a wonderful holiday you spent in the “God’s Own Country”.
