Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Cochin to Munnar

  (Approximate travel time / distance – 3 hrs 40 min / 110 km).
  Pick up from Cochin airport or Ernakulam railway station and proceeding to Munnar.
  Overnight stay at Munnnar.
  
  Tourist attractions / Sightseeing
  On the way visit Cheeyappara and Valara water falls (waterfalls depend rain), Spice and tea plantations.
  Reach at Munnar in the evening and rest for the day at hotel / resort.

• Day 2 : Munnar

  After breakfast proceeding for Munnar sightseeing
  Recommend to start at the earliest (8.30 am) to cover all sightseeing mentioned below.

  Rajamala wildlife sanctuary, a part of Iravikulam national park is a habitat of Nilgiri Tahr (a type of mountain goat). Entry by ticket by own cost / transfer only by forest department vehicle. Ticket can be booked early or get from counter.
  Closed from February mid to April mid because of the breeding time of Nilgiri Tahr.
  Tea museum (Closed on Monday), Mattuppetty Dam, Echo point, Kundala dam & Pine valley, Blossom park, Pothenmedu view point and enjoy the scenic beauty of western ghats mountain ranges while travelling.

• Day 3 : Munnar to Thekkady

  (Approximate travel time / distance – 3 hr 15 min / 95 km).
  After breakfast proceeding to Thekkady. Recommend to start at the earliest (8 am).
  Overnight stay at Thekkady.

  Periyar boating to see Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary / Periyar Tiger Reserve (Ticket can be book earlier or get from counter).
  Optional activities by own cost / depend availability – Ayurvedic Massage, Jeep Safari, Kathakali, Elephant Ride, Elephant Bath, Musical fountain etc.

• Day 4 : Thekkady to Alleppey

  (Approximate travel time / distance – 4 hrs 15 min / 145 km).
  Breakfast at resort and proceeding to Alleppey.

  Alleppey beach, navel ship point, Vijay beach park, Mullakkal street and temple, light house & museum (Closed on Monday), camel, horse ride etc.

• Day 5 : Alleppey to Varkala

  (Approximate travel time / distance – 3 hr 30 min / 110 km).

  Varkala beach (Papanasham beach), Varkala cliff, water sports activities.

• Day 6 : Varkala to Kovalam

  (Approximate travel time / distance – 1 hr 45 min / 55 km).

  Sree Padmanabhaswany temple, Kuthiramalika Palace, Napier Museum, Sree Chithra art gallery, Zoological Park, Science and Technology Museum, Kanakakunnu Palace, Priyadarshini Planetarium (all sightseeing in an around Trivandrum city / optional). Kovalam beach.
  
  Visit (may be next day) Azhimala temple / Kerala’s biggest Siva statue, Golden sands beach, Poovar Island (Poovar boating by won cost)

• Day 7 : Kovalam to Trivandrum / Cochin

  (Approximate travel time / distance – Trivandrum City – 30 min / 15 km | Cochin – 5 hr 50 min / 245 km).
