Khopra danda trek will take you around the scenic viewpoints of the Annapurna conservation area. This trek is suitable for families and all age groups. The region is inhabited by people of multi-ethnicity which gives a reflection of true Nepali culture. The trail encompasses a beautiful forest and landscape with rich vegetation and wildlife. It offers magnificent views of Mount Manaslu, Fishtail, Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, and Ganesh Himal. There is also a natural hot spring in the place called Tatopani where people can take a bath which is believed to cure skin diseases. Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Kathmandu to Pokhara (822 m) Approx. 7 hours' drive or flight (optional)

Early in the morning at 7:30 am drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. We will drive along the Trishuli River and we will cross some small towns and cities. On the way we can see rice, corn, millet fields with some greenery scenes. During our drive we will stop on the way for tea break and lunch. After driving approx. 7 hours’ drive we will reach the Pokhara. After reaching the Pokhara we will explore around the Pokhara city on leisure time. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 2 : Drive from Pokhara to Ulleri for Approx. 4 hours and trek to Ghorepani (2640 m)

Early in the Morning after breakfast we will drive from pokhara to Ulleri for Approx 4 hours. After reaching Ulleri we will start our trek to Ghorepani. We will explore the local tipical village and Jungle walk along this trek to Ghorepani. On Banthati we will stop for Lunch and we will enjoy the forest filled with rhododendron and many herbs and plants on the way until reach the Ghorepani. We will gradually climb uphill to reach the Ghorepani. We can see many Himalayan ranges from Ghorepani like as: Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Ganesh, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Machhapurchre (Fish Tail), Nilgiri, Gangapurna, Manaslu, Lamjung Himalayan ranges. Early in the morning we will hike on the top of Poonhill view point (Approx. 30-45 minute hike) for Sunrise and sunset views. Poonhill is the most popular view point of this Annapurna region where we can see mesmerizing views of sun rise and sunset. Overnight stay in Ghorepani.

Day 3 : Ghorepani Trek to Swanta (2270 m)

After breakfast, we will be descending through the beautiful mixed forest of rhododendron forests,Himalayan oak, and pine trees. After almost approx. 3-4 hours down the hill, we reach a small river, which we continue to follow downhill Swanta (2,200 m), overnight we stay at the lodge with Delicious typical food. We can explore the Swanta Magar and Gurung village in our free time. Overnight stay in Swanta village.

We will continue our trek after having breakfast in the early morning with the glorious sunrise views.Today’s hike is worth the climb to the popular lookout mountain Poon Hill.The comprehensive view extends from Dhaulagiri peak in the west and Tukuche over the Kali Gandaki valley, Nilgiri, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchare, Annapurna IV and II and Lamjung Himal to the Manaslu massif in the east. This is also a magnificent view point of this Khopra trek, where you can enjoy the Himalayan view with flora and fauna. Overnight in Dhan Kharka.

Day 5 : Dhan Kharka to Kopra Dada (3620 m)

Today is our Main point view of this Kopra trek where we will hike to Kopra Danda early in the morning after breakfast. Today’s our trekking trail leads us to a short descent along a mountain slope to the foothills of the nearly 8,000 m high Bara Shikar. Finally, we reach Kopra Danda to 3,660 m after the approx. 4-5 hours hike.This opens up a breathtaking 360-degree view of Sunset and Sunrise from the closer view than ever, overnight we stay at the tea house. Day 6 : Kopra Danda to Bayeli (4520 m)

Early in the morning after having breakfast we will leave the Kopra and head into the deep, almost untouched Rhododendron, Bamboo bushes with mixed forest. Today trek is going to be challenging as we will slowly trek up and down, this is the most challenging day of this whole Kopra Trek. The forest thins to approximately 3,100 m elevation and the path leading out into open grassland. For our lunch break, we are looking for a nice place with good views. Then it continues uphill through the forest and over pastures to the pasture Dobato. Here you can see shepherd down with their livestock in the summer. In Sumphul Danda (3,400 m) we reach a pass that gives us an uninterrupted view of the western mountains of Dhaulagiri, the Nilgiri Mountains and the Annapurna massif to Machhapuchare in the east. After a short descent, it’s another hour along the ridge (3,500 m) to our simple accommodation on the Bayeli Alm (3,400 m). This “Community Lodge ” is managed jointly by the inhabitants of the surrounding villages. Overnight at Bayeli.

After having breakfast we will start our trek by heading down hill with gorgeous views of mountains. Our morning trek continues downhill into the forest of rhododendron, oak, and Bamboo bushes and we can also encounter the wildlife like: Black bear, Musk Deer, Mountain goat, snow leopard and some peasants. After reaching the main trekking route at Tadapani, overnight in the comfort of the nice and cozy lodge, and enjoy the beautiful sunset on the top of Annapurna ranges and fishtail mountains. Day 8 : Tadapani to Ghandruk village (2012 m) and drive back to Pokhara (3 hours walk then 3 hours' Drive to Pokhara)

Today early in the morning after breakfast we will start our trek gradually heading down hill till we reach Ghandruk village.We will see a Gurung traditional museum at Ghandruk, Ghandruk is one of the best destinations for domestic or international tourists so many travellers visit here to see the ethnic culture and traditional. We will have lunch at Ghandruk Village. The place still provides us beautiful landscape and awesome mountains view with Annapurna south, Machhapuchre, and Annapurna II, the journey ends here and we will drive to Pokhara Approx. 3-4 hours. You can also explore the Pokhara views on your free time. Overnight in Pokhara.

Today is our last day of this trek and we will drop off you by our company representative for your international flight. And for optional, if you are interested in mountain flight here in Kathmandu then you can do the mountain as the mountain flight duration is 1 hour.

Terms & Conditions

Booking Contract
You will receive an official confirmation via email or a letter handed over to you by our representative at any of our offices once you confirm the bookings. Please check the letter carefully and report any information that might be incorrect or incomplete. Make sure to use your Passport names for the booking to avoid confusion. Refunds or discounts will not be entertained unless officially agreed upon beforehand.
Securing the booking
A 100% payment of the total cost of the trip per person should be made to secure the booking. Following conditions must be considered for the deposit:
Clients should read and accept the risks involved in the adventure activity chosen.
Pre-existing medical conditions should be informed.
Clients should have read and accepted all the Booking Conditions and General information pages.
The person making the booking should be of minimum 16 years of age and should have full authority to enter into a contract on the basis of these conditions
Booking on behalf of others
If you are making the booking on behalf of other participants, we will need a warrant that you have obtained their consent. As their representative, you will be our contact person and will hence be responsible for full payments of the travel package and/or additional activities purchased. You will also be responsible for keeping your party informed about the trip.
Please make sure the information you provide is complete and accurate. The Tour Operator will not be responsible for issues caused by misinformation.
Payments
Any due amount with Mount Adventure Holidays must be cleared within 48 hours from the time of booking made. We reserve the right to treat your booking as canceled if the payment is not cleared within a specified period.
Booking changes
Booking changes are welcomed free of charge up to 60 days ahead of departure. The changes are however subject to the availability of the packages. Under reasonable conditions, in case you are unable to travel, the booking can be transferable to another person. But make sure to do it 60 days ahead of your departure. All costs or charges incurred must be cleared out before making the transfer. For flight inclusive bookings, the airline charges should be paid in accordance with the airline involved.
Booking cancellations
Cancellation before 45+ days of departure will be done free of charge.
Cancellations made between 30-44 days ahead of departure will be subject to a loss of 30% of the total trip price.
Cancellations made between 15-29 days ahead of departure will be subject to a loss of 60% of the total trip price.
No refunds will be entertained for cancellations made 14 days ahead of departure
Medical information
Kindly disclose all relevant medical conditions to the Tour Operator that need to be considered while on the trip. For adventure activities, medical forms are to ensure your condition does not impact your ability to travel to remote areas or need constant medical assistance. It is for your own safety and the Tour Operator ensures compliance with the Privacy Policy to keep your information safe.
Pregnant women are advised to consult their doctors before taking up a trip. Please take the expert’s advice before applying. If there are any precautions to be taken during the trip, please inform the Tour Operator at the time of booking.
Make sure to take or carry any necessary medications before or during the trip, as advised by your doctor.
Any potential allergies to food or plants and dietary restrictions among others should be mentioned. In case of misinformation or lack of information, the Tour Operator will not liable.
Other requirements
If you have any special requirements please share them with the Tour Operator at the time of booking so responsible efforts can be carried out in order to accommodate your special requirements and requests as long as the locations and resources allow.
Age requirements
Anyone under the age of 16 will be considered a minor and should always be accompanied by an adult. One adult may accompany up to two minors. The minimum age for traveling for minors is 12 years.
Booking of minors is subject to review on the part of the Tour Operator. If consent on part of a parent or a guardian is required, then it should be provided as per the rules and regulations. The adult associated with the minor is fully responsible for the behavior, wellbeing, and supervision of the activities of the minor. The tour operator does not provide care services for minors.
Insurance requirements
Clients must process travel insurance with medical, evacuation, and repatriation coverage of about 200,000 US dollars. The insurance must cover injury and emergency medical needs and rescue operations for a trek that goes above 4000m. The Tour Operator will verify if you have sufficient insurance in place. Clients are also strongly recommended to extend the coverage to include curtailment, cancellation, delay, inconvenience, injury, and delay while traveling.
Insurance coverage is not included in the cost of any adventure activity and must be obtained separately.
Change of price & taxes
The published price of the Tour and services offered by the Tour Operator is subject to change anytime within 30 days before departure. The Tour operator reserves the right to impose extra service charges from the one mentioned in the booking details. If the increase in price is greater than 10% of the original price you can:
Choose to cancel the applicable booking without any penalty.
Accept the change of price.
Possible reduced pricing can be available on certain products or bookings. Bookings, where payment of the deposit has already been obtained, are not entitled to reduce pricing.
Airfare
Tour prices do not include the international and other airfares unless explicitly mentioned in the descriptions of the concerned tour. The Tour Operators act only as a sales agent in the air carrier.
Trip participation and client responsibility
You agree to accept the decisions made by the Tour Operator and you agree that all decisions made are on the part of your health, level of fitness, and conduct. Tour operators will bear no costs incurred as a result of the exclusion and no refund shall be provided for unused services. Please make sure to carry all appropriate documents along with you when taking part in the tour. It is mandatory that you carry a valid passport, all travel documents required by the relevant governmental authorities, visas, permits, certificates, and insurance policies. You have the full responsibility of obtaining these documents and the cost incurred as a result of the loss of these documents.
