Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : From The hotel to the gate 44km (1:30hr)

  Marangu gate 1800m to Mandara hut 2720m —8km 4hrs.This part called Rain forest,you will get to see huge trees,flowers,animals like black and white coloubus monkey ,blue monkey,birds and small antelopes.

• Day 2 : Mandara hut to horombo hut 3720m. 11kmIts,5hrs.

  Its hearther/Moreland zone —Beautiful landscape,you can see those peaks Mawenzi peak and kibo peak,you will see maundi crater and view of Lake chala ,animals like Buffaloes,elands ,wildcow,wild dogs .It's more ascending gradually.

• Day 3 : Horombo Hut

  Staying at horombo hut for the second night —you will go to zebra rocks 4100m and go back to horombo having lunch and relaxing for next day.

• Day 4 : Horombo hut to kibo hut 4700m.9km,4hrs.

  Horombo hut to kibo hut 4700m.9km,4hrs. This day is more alpine desert. This is the day that you will have the summit night .

• Day 5 : From Kibo hut to Gilman Point 4km 4hrs to uhuru 6km

  From Kibo hut to Gilman Point 4km 4hrs to uhuru 6km .Go and return maximum 7hrs .After summit you are not staying at kibo hut you will go down to horombo hut.

• Day 6 : From Horombo hut to the gate 19km 7hrs

  This is the first itinerary for 6days marangu and you are staying in the hut not camping. And Departure
