Sangla Valley or the Baspa Valley starts at Karcham and ends at Chitkul. Sangla is the major town in the valley with a petrol pump, Bank ATMs, Post Office, Restaurants, Bar, mid range hotels and shops. The valley is surrounded by forested slopes and offers views of the high mountains. Its location in the greater Himalayan range gives it a milder climate than the plains.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Chandigarh – Shimla [120 KM 4 Hrs]

  As you will Arrival at Chandigarh railway station/ airport you will be met, assisted by our well trained drive & departure to Shimla / Narkanda. En route visit Pinjore garden if time permits. Shimla is one of the most beautiful & renowned hill stations where at evening one can stroll around Mall road and ridge area of town. Over Night stay is at the hotel.

• Day 2 : Shimla – Sarahan [175 KM 7 Hrs]

  After Breakfast leave for Sarahan. En route Kufri & Fagu valley welcomes you with the great view of Himalayan range. After witnessing the beautiful view leave for Narkanda, a town enclosed by thick woods, spreading its arms towards hatu peak. O/N stay.

• Day 3 : Sarahan – Sangla Rakchham [110 KM 5 Hrs]

  Before breakfast a visit to Bhimakali Temple during puja. It is revered as one of the fifth Shaktipeeth. Leave for Sangla valley. En route trandha maa temple known for its sheer drop. Reach Sangla. A journey from Karcham onwards is enjoyable and adventurous throughout the valley The natural scenery all around and the eternal snow view are picturesque & charming. This is the most charming valley in the entire District of Kinnaur. It is also know as Baspa valley since Baspa River flows through this valley. Explore the vicinity around including an ancient kamro Fort & temple dedicated to Nages God. Leave to Rakchham village. O/N at Hotel Rupin River View.

• Day 4 : Rakcahham to Chitkul

  Hotel Rupin River View is located at an altitude 3050mts, just on the Right Bank Of River Baspa which offer you the spectacular view of entire valley with Baspa river flowing in its pristine glory , fields with apple orchards & buck wheat along with the mountain slopes, dense forest with alpine & coniferous tress & towering snow capped Himalayan peaks on the top. It is an area even today untouched and unspoiled. On the other side, there is a totally opposite scene. High, rugged, totally naked snow-capped peak, along With Great Kinner Kailash. When you sit by the river and admire beauty. Rakchham is completely another world. I would say, you would have never seen this kind of creation of extraordinary beauty in your life. This place is paradise for trekking, bird-watching, professional photographer and the extreme condition for the rock climber. The hotels offer different kinds of trips to the upper pasture Land. you will not get such combination in any hotels in Kinnaur.

• Day 5 : Sangla – Kalpa [70 Km 4 Hrs]

  The morning after breakfast leave to Kalpa via Reckong Peo short stop to explore market famous for it dry fruit & local woolen clothes, en route visit Koti Mata Temple. Arrival at Hotel Most of the Hotel rooms facing Jorkanden & The Kinner Kailash Peaks , considered as one of the mythical home of Lord Shiva & by its side is a seventy-nine foot rock formation that resembles a Shivalinga that changes the colour as the day passes & is visible to the naked eye on a clear day.O/N stay.

• Day 6 : Kalpa - Around

  After the Breakfast visit, Rogi Village known for its sheer drop locally called suicide point. Then to Chini village which has an ancient temple & monastery. Afternoon again you have an opportunity to enjoy the mystical beauty of great Kinner Kailash .O/N stays.

• Day 7 : Kalpa – Narkanda(163 Km)

  After breakfast Leaving with the fresh Essence of Kinnaur Lunch or chai Stop En-route at Rampur. O/N stay at Narkanda.

• Day 8 : Narkanda – Kalka/Chandigarh Drop (173 Km)

  Today, we depart after an incredible journey. After breakfast checkout from the hotel & depart for Chandigarh / Kalka. Lunch will be En –route. Arrival at Chandigarh to return Home with Happy Memories. Alternately, Overnight at Chandigarh & catch the next day Flight Train / Flight back Home.
