Arrival in shimla, assistance upon arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in hotel
Kufri (16 km) – At 2501 m, this is famous for its wide views and ski slopes. An enjoyable walk leads up to the Mahasu Peak.
Fagu (22 km) – At 2510 m, Fagu has some enchanting views.
Mashobra (12 km) – At 2149 m, this beautiful suburb is surrounded by a thick forest. From here, a track leads down to Sipur which is an exquisite glade shaded by ancient deodar trees.
Naldehra (22 km) – At 2404 m, this is a nine hole, golf course. It was designed by the British Viceroy, Lord Curson.
Indian Institute of Advanced Study – At 1983 m, it is a magnificent English renaissance structure. Its lawns and woodland are added attractions. A portion of the interior is open to the public.
After breakfast, drive by jeep to kafnu (6-7 hours). Stay overnight in camp.
Duration: 5-6 hours. Trek through Mustrang village and forest. After a few hours of steep climb, the path gradually ascends to the camp site, a lush green meadow on the banks of the River Bhabha. Camp overnight in tents.
The walk involves a small river crossing and a gradual ascent to the base of the Bhabha Pass 4640m/15,220 ft. Camp overnight in tents.
The first two hours is a steep climb to the top of the Bhabha Pass (approx. 4865meters/16,000 feet). Then descend to Baldar and stay overnight in camp.
Relatively a flat walk of couple of hours and we reach the village of Pharka. Stay overnight in camp. End of Trek.
After breakfast, we walk up to the village of Mudh (1/2 hour) and board the waiting jeep. Drive through the village of Sagnam and then we visit the famous monastery of Kungri. Reach Tabo by evening and stay overnight in camp.
Early morning, attend the prayer at Tabo monastery (3050m/10,005 ft), which is over 1,000 years old and is the oldest and the most important monastery in the Spiti valley. We return to camp after prayers, have breakfast. We then return to explore the monastery. Drive further to the monasteries of Dhankar & Lalung, and continue to Rangrik, our camp site.
Today, we will be visiting Ki monastery, the largest monastery in Spiti valley, situated on top of a hill (4116 meters/13,500 feet). This monastery is famous for Thanka paintings and musical instruments. We then continue to the village of Kibber (4205 meters/13,800 feet) and to Gete (4270 meters/14,000 feet), which is the highest permanently inhabited village of Spiti valley. On the way back, we also visit Kaza town. We return to Rangrik by evening and stay overnight in camp.
After breakfast, drive to Manali via. Kumzam Pass, En route, cross Rohtang Pass (3980m/13,054ft), where a panorama of bare rocks, snow fields and glaciers unfolds. The sacred twin peaks of Gyephang and the Sonapti glaciers are visible from here, while at a short distance from the pass, lies the lake of Dashair (Sarkund). After arrival check into hotel Overnight in hotel at Manali.
Enjoy a relaxed day at Manali, with half-day sightseeing.
Hadimba Temple - Also known as the Dhoongri Temple, built in 1550 AD, with a four-tiered pagoda shaped roof and a front door way, superbly crafted and carved with figures & symbols. The temple is dedicated to Hadimba Devi, the wife of Bhima (one of the Pandava brothers, from the great epic Mahabharata).
Manu Maharishi temple – Situated in Old Manali village, which lies across the Manalsu river, named after Rishi Manu, who lived and wrote the first constriction of India called “Manu Samriti”. This ancient temple is perhaps the only temple of Maharishi Manu in India. The original name of this village was Manu Alya (abode of Manu), which later on was pronounced as Manali, the name now borrowed by the main town.

Buddhist monastery – A small monastery in a peaceful clearing, has the image of Buddha and some exquisite thanka paintings. Famous for carpet weaving and Tibetan handicrafts.
Vashisht Rishi Temple & Hot Water Springs - Across the Beas river, about 3 km away from Manali, at an altitude of 1,982 meters (6,200 feet), are the natural sulphur springs and the ancient Vashisht Rishi temple. The sulphur hot water spring in the premises of the temple is endowed with great healing properties.
Arrive back at the hotel by evening.
