Sangla valley is famous for its greenery and beautiful landscapes and rich flaura and fauna. Kalpa situated on bit high altitude offers an incredible view of Kinnar Kailash Peak on an aerial distance. Full of apple orchards and kamru fort would be another attraction at this location.
Kalpa onwards by following Satluj river originating from Tibet your vegetation will get change and arrive Nako the last village of this border area. Nako has a beautiful lake which freezes in the winter and villagers play ice hockey during this period and seeing the temple of Padamsambhava, the second incarnation of lord Buddha who made Buddhism popular in the Trans Himalayas is worht seeing where we can see the foot prints of the Padamsambhava.
Further drive will take you to one of the major monastery called Tabo.
Spread over an area of almost 3000 sq. m, surrounded by a thick mud wall, Tabo gompa is divided into three buildings with the middle structure being most interesting and important. Tabo (also spelt as Ta-pho) was established a thousand years ago and was a part of Western Tibet school which originally designed different mandalas in the form of statues hanging on the walls of the gompa to meditate upon. However 800 years ago with the arrival of Guru Padmasambhava in Tibet, and with the introduction of his new sect -
The Pin Valley is known to be full of wildlife - ibex, khangral, marmot, bharal, are commonly seen on the high slopes with the elusive snow leopard occasionally visible looking for prey. In the afternoon walk around and explore the Pin valley.
Dhankar, a most incredibly-situated gompa, perched high on barren rocky mountain slopes. As you progress, the whole Dhankar village opens up in front of you like something artificial crops up from nowhere. Park your vehicles at the beginning of the village and walk for about half an hour past mud houses on to your right and fields to the left with the Spiti river flowing down below.
Kaza, the sub-divisional headquarters of Spiti. It boasts of a P.W.D. Rest House, a couple of small private guest houses, a branch of the State Bank of India, a school, a dry cleaners, post and telegraph office and a helipad. three kms from Kaza is the Rong Ting Hydel Project which generates electricity for most of the villages in Spiti. Also visit the new Sa-kya-pa monastery.
Driving down from Kaza to Manali, you have to Cross the major pass called Kunjum Pass ( 4590 M ASL) and follow Chandra River after a while to reach awsam chandertal lake.Naxt day Reach at Gramphu which is the base of Rohtang pass to reach Manali town.

Day 1 : Arrive Manali
On arrival Manali transfer to hotel.local sight seen, evening walk around local market.
Overnight stay at the hotel.You have yoru own arrangements to arrive Manali either by flight / Road form Delhi – Chandigarh or other destinations. Check in at your pre booked hotel. Check in and Check Out time is 10 AM.

Day 2 : Manali to Banjar valley-
Banjar valley is perfactly complimented by lush green valley and the extensive flora and fauna ot the region.We will move through many beautiful himalayan villages and lush green forest of Jalori pass today.aftar reaching Jalori pass(3300mts),one can explore the area.Another option there to take a short trek to the beautiful Sayolsar lake(high altitude lake)(4 km,One side trek).Evening back to hotel for night stay in Banjar valley.
Day 3 : Banjar valley to Saharan-
The Drive today takes you to the place known for the temple of Goddess Bhima Kali.174Kms/7 hrs. The village is surrounded by apple orchards and opposite to the Sarahan you can witness the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak (5155M).Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4 : Sarahan to Chitkul-(Sangla valley)-
Early morning after visit to the holy temple of Godess Bhimakali. Bhimakali Temple, a wonderful mixture of Buddhist and Hindu architecture. It is very sacred to both the communities. The Bhimakali goddess idol is about 200 years old drive from Sarahan to Sangla .102 Kms and 05 hrs drive. Sangla is the most beautiful valley of Himachal Pradesh, Surrounded by green fields and high mountain peaks. later excursion to chitkul village. Chitkul is a fairy land. The traditional houses, temples, Gompas and the people of Baspa valley conjure up the perfect image of Shangri La.
Day 5 : Sangla to Kalpa
64 Kms/04 hrs. En route visiting Rekang Peo and the new Buddhist monastery. One gets excied on witnessing the magic mountains "Kinnar Kailash" (6050M).In the evening visit to the Kalpa village where we can witness the traditional houses and temple of the Vishnu and Shiva which opens only in the evening for evening prayer.O/N at Hotel Kinner Kailash
Day 6 : Kalpa to Nako
(3959M),A distance of 122Kms and six hour drive.Enroute visiting Kanum monastery, library of Kangyur, Gompa Labrang, main temple of Gelugpa Landup Ganfel Gompa (Khache Lakhang), the Gompa of Tashi Cholling, Morang and Labrang villages.Ascending further to Nako. Nako has a beautiful lake which freezes in the wnter and villagers play ice hockey during this period and seeing the temple of Padamsambhava, the second incarnation of lord Buddha who made Buddhism popular in the Trans Himalayas is worht seeing where we can see the foot prints of the Padamsambhava. Overnight Camp near village.
Day 7 : Nako to Kaza-
After breakfast journey starts to witness the Ajanta of Himalayas.It is a distance of 64Kms and a drive of three hour. Today we will be entering into the Spiti valley. Spiti is known as the living museum. The mountains are devoid to any vegetation due to erosion by wind, sun and snow over thousands of years. Before reaching Tabo and witnessing the Ajantas of Himalayas. The monastery at Tabo is the largest monastery in Spiti.Enroute visiting the Dankar Gompa and Lalung monastery.Rock cut monasteries of Dankar are worth seeing overnight stay at Kaza.
Day 8 : Kaza
After breakfast excursion to Kee monastery and Kibber village at an altitude of 4205M. drive to the highest motorable roar Langza and enroute visiting the Comik and Hikim village.Came back to Kaza to have lunch ,after that move toward pin valley.It is a very beautiful valley. O/N Kaza.
Day 9 : Kaza to Chandertal lake-
Today is the drive over majestic Kunzam La pass. Kaza (4590M) to Chandertal (3960M) is an adventures drive but the different landscapes enroute makes your journey really adventurous.Explore the lake.Overenight in fixed camp in Cahandertal.
Day 10 : Chandertal lake to manali town-
Today drive is very beautiful,because of Chandra and Bhaga mountain range.One can see many famous mountain peaks here.Following river Chadra you will Arrive at Gramphu at the base of Rohatng pass..Drive further to the Rohatang pass to reach Manali town.overnight stay at manali.
Day 11 : Departure Manali-
After breakfast you will get transferred to the airport or Bus stand in time to board flight or bus for onward destination.
